Winners Supermarket .... Friday 16 June 2017 @ 15:45

So I am standing a this very long queue at Winners Supermarket in Lenteguer M/Plain waiting my turn to buy French Polony.

While standing in the queue, I see that the staff behind the counter is trying assist everyone and speed up the line... or so I thought.

As it is nearing to my turn to order, there is a young guy standing in front of me... when the lady asked him what he wants ... he replied by saying he wanted some honder nekkies which we passed by along the queue... the staff member then told him he needs to go back behind the queue to where the chicken is and ask for it there...

bear in mind that there were many people who bought for example frozen vegetables at the right counter but because of the line being full also order cheese which is further down... the staff then shouted to the one standing at the cheese counter to give this customer her cheese and then they pay all together..

so i ask why could they not assist this poor guy who passed the counter thinking that we need to all stand in one queue!

So my turn come... i ordered R50 french polonly... but while waiting for my things... the queue obviously move as the people infront of me gets there order and pay for it..

when it was my turn to pay ie I was next in line... you know what happend! I had to wait ... my polony was apparently 3rd in line behind the counter to pay... so a women who stood five people behind... her goodies was next in line cause she had a few items to pay...

I expressed very loudly how wrong it was...that i am now next line to pay and i got told that the line actually works on how the "staff"puts down the goods not looking at how the customers are standing in a row..

even the cashier who helped got all flustered cause i complained...which i believe i have a right

To me it is not ethical... I have been standing in this long queue just like everyone else waiting patiently to be served... once i asked for what i want i expect when its my turn to pay... that i pay... but

nope i had to wait for 2 other people to pay before i can even though technically i am standing first in line!!!

no wonder the queue was taking so long

Does the actual polony that is packed in a bag get first priviledge than the acutal human who is purchasing it and standing in a queue?

I think that Winners Supermarket can get a better way of managing their shop when it is full..

as well as ask their staff to communicate clearly to customers on when they done purchasing then they can go stand at the till to pay.
