I've read a lot of reviews about this place.. They tend to be either very positive or very negative.
We've been there twice now and I honestly love it. It's a fantastic water park, a really great place to take the kids for the day, and their rates are really reasonable. Yes you have to book in advance, but I'm really glad that they are limiting entrance now as it can get overcrowded easily and that poses a lot more of a safety risk and makes it less fun for everyone. (people pushing, getting overexcited, having to wait in long lines)
We witnessed people throwing horrendous tantrums at the entrance for being turned away.. Seriously people - it's the busy season. It's no fun for anyone when it's overcrowded and it makes it unsafe. So make a booking.. In advance.. They posted it on their site that they're full.. It's your own poor planning if you can't get in.
About what I've read: Yes, they're not great at answering the phones, but they don't have a lot of staff running such a big place. So check their peak hours and phone back during the times they're less likely to be swamped. I had to phone a number of times to get an answer.. Really not that big of a deal. I called back at least twice to check they'd received my payment and my booking was in order.
Yes, kids can get hurt.. But that can happen anywhere, even at home. Children are your responsibility as a parent. Some injuries can't be helped.
Some of the finishes are a bit cheap.. really? You pay more to go to a movie, or eat out. Here you can spend the whole day, and not spend anymore than your entrance.. How can you complain about that?
I'm saddened that some say there's racism. I found everyone to be really friendly. Especially that drunk guy . . . that was out of line (don't hit on married momma's in their costumes with a drink in your hand.. not cool dude, it makes us uncomfortable). So maybe I got called a racist that day. But for the rest we all got a long, enjoying the sun and the water and seeing our littles have a good time. Yes we do things a little differently, but no one's better than the next. Maybe we all need to be a little more tolerant and respectful towards each other.
