It's actually a big fat ZERO! Not even a 1! I have had endless hell with this insurer, who works on behalf of Ooba Insure - so if you looking to insure anything, please save yourself the anxiety, stress and headache and go somewhere else.
The worst customer service, The worst response time, The worst excuses ever!
I am still waiting for my promised payment on a claim that was supposed to be paid out three weeks ago, This after more than a year of aggravation, frustration and anxiety. You don't even want to know how long I have been battling with the original claim, setting aside this final piece of being paid out!
Every week there is a different excuse.
I have been emailing the monitoring Team leader Thulile Zwane for days, and I just get a flat ignore. This after I was told that the finance department originally had the wrong banking details and that the payment request was now completed with the correct banking details. On calling to speak to Thulile, I was told she is in a meeting, and apparently Kagiso (the alternative contact person) is in the same meeting. I apparently also can't get transferred to finance to find out where my payment is, because apparently there is no phone to transfer calls to in finance!! WOW, who are you trying to bull? Miss a payment and you will see how fast finance can call you!
But I can transferred through to a team leader; and was consequently transferred to a gentleman by the name of Charlton. I have just received confirmation from Charlton that Thulile is currently finding out exactly where my refund is, and also received commitment from him that I will receive a respose from Thulile together with a proof of payment by this afternoon (17 March 2025).
Lets see if he can at least keep to his word.
