I received an infringement about going over the speed limit when I enquired I couldn't even see the number plate of the car, I checked my speed and saw that I was way below the limit, infact I drove at 40km. I contacted aarto and was informed to fill in a form and ending it for enforcement which I did this was last year however no response and the infringement is still showing. I went to the JMPD offices in JHB and was given 2 more firms with a different email address to send to for revocation and still no reply. When you call the contact center they tell you they cannot see the email or information sent to back office, they give you a number to call it rings with no answer, you call again they keep you on hold and then disconnect you The first agent was ohk even with less info the second was just rude and the third well disconnected the call

I am writing this out of pure frustration. I am a victim of identity theft, and the systemic failure of AARTO and JMPD is currently stripping me of my right to drive. Despite following every legal procedure, I am stuck in a loop of zero accountability. In December 2025, I discovered four infringements from 2021 (Notices: 0100110297730964, 0100110297730972, 0100110303014719, and 0100110303014726) for a vehicle that I have never owned or driven. These were issued during a period when my driver's license had been lost and *****ulently used by someone else.

AARTO Review I am quite impressed that AARTO is trying to bring in stricter measures, but I do not know how these will be implemented as our roads’ infrastructure is so defective. Often drivers cannot see the lanes in which they are driving, there are potholes everywhere and traffic lights often do not function. It is as if COJ uses very bad, cheap paint as the areas that are re-painted are often hardly visible 3 months down the line. When last have we seen yellow lines being painted? I wonder if people even know that one cannot park on yellow lines. Frequently I see people just parking in the middle of the road to make a call with their hazard lights on. No evidence of the yellow lines that were there before. And, why are there these strict measures for most tax paying drivers but the mini-bus taxis seem exempt from all rules and regulations? How is this fair? Is this Animal Farm where some are more equal than others? How can laws be imposed when a huge sector of the community is exempt in terms of these rules and laws? I cannot see how AARTO can enforce these measures if everyone cannot be treated EQUALLY. I can see many issues being contested in court unless ALL are treated equally and the infrastructure supports the rule of law. R.R-Taylor. info@aboutAARTO.co.za

Good day, since the new Aarto system was introduced, I received various fines for traffic infringements. One of these vehicles does not belong to me and the registration number is also unknown to me. On the other fines I was not the driver of the vehicle. I was then told about the Aarto n07 document that you complete, certify and send to the authorities. Once I registered my battle started - there is no contact detail where to send these documents to, I send it to x5 different e-mail adresses that I found on the web as well as per registered post to Halfway house. The telephone numbers display on the internet for the different areas does NOT exist or are o.o.o. They keep on sending reminders to pay these fines but I am not liable for these fines. Once you pay a fine you actually acknowledge guilt, and all I want to do is to transfer these fines to the persons that was in charge of the vehicles.

Fines are not showing in PayCity. I have been on hold for over an hour waiting to speak to someone. This department is the exact epiphany of the current government. No single care about service delivery.

Hello how does a person try to get hold of AARTO, I received an sms from Jhb Municipality to say I had fines outstanding, these were from 2020. I then investigated with Pay Fine which shows me the fines but I have no visual of the actual fine - how do I know that these are my fines - and when I try and register on the AARTO website with my I.D. it does not register in my initials. Please advise? AARTO

One of my ex-employees had incurred a fine and i requested AARto to transfer this fine to his name with all the relevant paperwork attached, it has been 2 years now and still this fine has not been resolved and i cannot get this vehicle licence disk. This is a department that will shortly be taking care of lots more municipalities but cannot even resolve queries raised with them i see that they do not even respond to reviews of this forum it's a big joke. Anyone found a way to communicate with them that they can share?
