Called on them and only received positive repairs. People who can be trusted. My insurance failed to get the repairs done and then I called on Action TV. It only took a few hours and the repairs were done.

I have made arrangements with Action TV for an installation at 11H00. I was told they would contact me on the day of installation to confirm the time. I had to call them on the day of installation when it became clear they are not going to call me. After giving them all the specifications of TV, wall mount etc. for a second time the 11H00 installation was confirmed. Since it is a different location from my office I had to take special time to meet them at said location. At 11H15 I called to hear where they are since I had made arrangement for 11H00. They were still shopping for the wall mount. Why not first shop and then agree to the time? Why do I have to call you? I don't have the time to sit around waiting on unprofessional people to arrive 30 min or more late. We all have work to do. I was told in a very unprofessional manner that they don't want my business. Well, I thought in a post pandemic era we are all desperate for all the work we can get. Clearly they are not. Some companies will survive and some with this kind of unprofessional attitude will not. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Good luck!

I took my laptop three months ago and today they give it back and even more damage, refuse to refound me and treating me badly! Only because they know I am a tourist and not local. Horrible!

Nine months ago I called out Action TV (ph: 021 423 9117) of Kloof Street, Gardens, Cape Town, to sort out a DSTV reception problem and to install an Explora DSTV decoder. They overcharged me with a R1600 invoice (number 11973) which was nearly 3 times their original quote. Included in the invoice charge was a R200 charge for a 4-way splitter which costs about R60 retail at Ellies or Space TV. They also charged for the supply and fitment of a replacement LNB.

When I recently experienced reception problems (E48-32 DSTV error message) again, I contacted Action TV, but they were not interested coming out to site to repair their workmanship. I then contacted another DSTV installer who informed me that the LNB unit which Action TV fitted was faulty and appears to be a 2nd hand unit which they installed. This was most probably the reason why the unit only lasted for 9 months.

I would not recommend any person to use Action TV for any DSTV or repairs as they overcharge for their work, install used parts and they are not willing to attend to problems emmating from their workmanship.

Regards

Andre du Preez
