I am extremely disappointed with African Independent Brokers. In mid-November 2025, I pro-actively contacted them to ensure my policy was up to date. I spoke with Zandile Nxumalo, who explicitly confirmed that my documents were in order. My debit orders were going off regularly, and she even sent me a policy schedule affirming that everything was active and up to date. A week or two later, my windscreen was hit by a stone. When I attempted to claim, the claim was rejected on the basis that my policy was "not up to date"—directly contradicting the written proof and verbal confirmation I was given just days prior. The back-and-forth was exhausting and unprofessional. I’ve ended up driving with a cracked windscreen and will now be paying for the repairs out of my own pocket. I have since cancelled my policy and moved to a different insurer. If you want peace of mind that your claim will actually be honored when you need it, look elsewhere.
