I booked with All Furniture removel to move me from Potchefstroom to Roodepoort and paid them in full. My move was booked for the 15th of Dec. On the 13th of Dec. Robin phoned and informed me that his moving truck was in accident and would not be able to move me on the 15th. In an e-mail he said he will refund me. Till this day I have not recieved my refund. I have phoned him every day to follow up on the progress. For 2 weeks now he is just not picking up my calls or responding to my e- mails or whats ups.

I relocated from Mpumalanga to the Western Cape at the end of October, and got several quotes to my email address. The owner of All Furniture Removals, Robin McGregor, actually phoned me to find out if I had received his quote. None of the others did, so I thought this was a good company to go with. As it turns out it was the worst decision I could have made. I organised for my move to be on the 27th October 2017 and for delivery at the new house for 30th October 2017. Due to my son flying up, and driving down with me I requested that the delivery date be changed to the 28th October 2017 and was told that it was fine. I was informed that the crew he sent me had worked for him for 12 years, so I thought they were experienced packers. They duly arrived and loaded the truck and left. We left a couple of hours later and arrived late Saturday morning. We then waited for the truck to arrive, which it did eventually. Then the nightmare began. My brand new fridge had a 6 inch wide scratch running from almost the top of the side to the bottom. The washing machine, also brand new, had a chip on one side and a scratch on the other. The bedroom suite had numerous scratches on every piece, plus a huge piece of wood gouged out of the bottom board. There was not a piece of furniture that wasn't damaged in one way or another. They had blankets on board but hadn't used them. To say I was fuming is putting it mildly, and I phoned the owner who couldn't have cared less. They hadn't padlocked the truck either. I also had arranged with him to pick up some stuff from my sister in Port Elizabeth to bring across for me, and after this I cancelled. I was then informed that because I altered the date of delivery I now had to pay him an extra R2300.00, even though the quote states "Date of move - anytime from 15/10/2017 to 30/10/17". The money I paid him to bring my things from PE was R2500.00 which was never refunded. I can honestly say that in my entire life, and of all the moves I have done, including relocating from England, this was by far the worst move ever, and I will never use him again or refer him to anyone.

For our move from North-West Province to the Western Cape in August 2017, we used “All Furniture Removals”. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! He phoned daily begging me to give them the job and offered me a better deal than the company I was considering, also saying that they will have our household items at the new address within the next day. This was great considering that we would have to wait 3 days for the other company to deliver our goods. On the date of removal, not only were they late (A), but they showed up with one very small truck (for our 3 bedroom house) (B). This resulted in us having to “crisis manage” and find temporary storage for some items since everything didn’t fit into the small truck (surprise, surprise…). Still, he said they will pick up these items and have it transported to us the following week. Two weeks later he finally collected the “left over” items (C), however these were only delivered to us A MONTH after our initial move (D), with him using EVERY excuse twice in the meantime (i.e. from the ONE public holiday to the truck breaking down in PE and even being hospitalised for diabetes twice) (E)!! Funny enough, these items came on the same day/truck as our friends’ goods, who moved down to Cape Town a month after us – he undoubtedly made us wait since he didn’t want the expenses of sending our things earlier as promised even though he messed up. Fortunately, our friends told us our things have arrived since he didn’t even bother to let us know about its arrival in Cape Town (F)! P.S. we told our friends to NOT use them as well, however it appeared that he contracted their move out to another, much more professional company, so they didn’t have any trouble. My last, major issues, are that we paid (a lot) extra to have full household insurance in addition to the in-transit insurance. And yes, our furniture was severely damaged and dented upon arrival since they didn’t use blankets/bubblewrap on all the items I specified and paid for (G). I immediately took photos of everything and even included the original payslips of everything to make things easier for the submission of the claim. It’s been almost 4 months now with him avoiding my calls, messages and e-mails and not sending me the insurance paperwork – he probably can’t think of an excuse to “cover” for his corrupt company not submitting my claims in the first place and stealing that money (H). After providing 8 reasons, again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
