I had a Pedicure Plus done at their Century Village Branch, and when I asked what it included, the word polish was mentioned, so assumed this meant nail polish. However, this turned out to be an added fee, which I had not budgeted for. Every other pedicure I have ever had elsewhere includes the nail polish, so I feel their pricing is misleading.

I’m really disappointed with the quality of the polygel nails from Amore. My nails started lifting and completely came off on the 8th day, and this isn’t the first time it’s happened. Their nails never seem to last more than 14 days, and the glue they use is clearly weak. When I went back to the salon, I was told about a “7-day policy,” which I was never informed about when making my booking. It’s very frustrating because I can’t even book a fill-up appointment when the nails don’t last as they should. For the price and reputation, I expected much better quality and transparency. After this experience, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere, and so will my family and friends.

Absolutely terrible service. This was my 2nd bad encounter - my 1st was that my nail chipped on the second day - I contacted them and they totally ignored me. My second bad encounter was in March 2025. The nail technician cut into my cuticle extremely deep and hurt me resulting in my entire toenail lifting a month later. I reached out to them and they told me I shouldn’t leave product on longer than 2 week!! ****!! I’ve been doing my feet for 10 years and this never ever happened. Pathetic and extremely unprofessional service. I give them a 0 rating and do not recommend. I have now had to settle my own Dr bills and I have really bad feet because of their poor skills and lack of accountability. 0/10

I have had few bad encounters with Amore - cancelled appointments - double booked appointments ect - specifically Brackenfell. I did my nails in the week and it damaged same day- messaged to let them know they offered to repair - I also requested for Pedi for my feet, little did i know it does not include a paint. I arrived and then nail tech told me what pedi is - I then asked her to rather to soak off then paint gel on my toes and leave scrub as she advised there was not enough time. She was not happy went to reception and reception told me they cant assist they can only do scrub - I then said cancel it I was disappointed. I then opted to just to repair of my one nail. whilst sitting the nail tech that refused to do my feet goes to another colleague and speaks about my situation in her language which I clearly don't understand but they way they looked at me and comments they made indicated they spoke about me. when I was done i went to reception and saw same girl that could not assist me doing her collogue toes, so she never had time to do mine but she did to do her colleague, how unprofessional. I complained to reception that is unprofessional for staff to be talking about clients especially in their language. I am disgusted with staff service in Brackenfell.

I have been dealing with this establishment for just over 18months. My first negative experience I had with the business after having to scream shout and demand to speak with a manager was resolved by them offering a voucher to redo the Nails that were butchered by their Nail tech who claimed she could do polygel and a friend of mine asked me to try them as opposed to Acrylic due to that experience I have never attempted polygel nails since then despite my managers polygel nails looking so good. Fast forward to the only service I was still doing with them, the lashes. Their lash tech at the Colloseum Branch by the name of Melody is very good and each booking I insisted to only work with her. The branch has let me down twice despite me asking them to tell me should Melody not be available due to a number of unforeseen circumstances and the store has failed twice to honour that request and that led to me loosing some of my natural lashes when one of their new techs butchered my lashes and that was December 2024, unaware that I lost my natural lashes, January 18 I went for my appointment and we were laughing about the previous tech myself and Melody. I booked a session that normally takes 1:30 minutes however on this particular day the service only took 45 minutes, I raised my disatisfaction and Melody and the receptionist assisted me that the lashes would last, however should they not last, I must notify them. I did exactly that on the 10th day when I only had 4-5 lashes left and they told me about a 7 day grace period to notify them forgetting the minute notice I gave them when I saw that those lashes were not gonna make it to 2-3 weeks still looking good as they normally do. The back and forth what’s app messages between me and their receptionist refusing to give me their managers number not Email address. I am utterly disgusted and appalled by how their staff treats clients that had been doing business with them for such a long time with no complaints, but then again why am I supposed with an enterprise that hires undocumented staff , jokes on me for thinking they would act and fix their error

Amore Century City… -confirmed booking, waited 45min to be assisted. - seems receptionist is bombarded by unexpected online bookings and can’t cope with the overload. - bookings are not well managed wrt time. - constant influx of complaints by irate clients. - nail the******s don’t seem to have a break in-between clients, feels like a grimy Chinese sweatshop. - no aircon in salon for the unbearable hot weather. I pity the nail the******s that have to work in the heat. - floors are filthy. - nail equipment of inferior quality, nail the******s seem to constantly borrow each others products, looks like a possible shortage in supply which interferes with time management for the nail the****** and constant interruption to the client. - nail salon displays Gel-it product but offers in-house Amore branded nail product instead? - uv lamps are constantly switching off in-between gel applications. - uv lamps are filthy inside with gel stains from various clients. - pedicure armchairs are filthy to sit on. -nail the****** leaves brushes and various nail equipment on the filthy floor whilst doing a pedicure? No nail container to hold all equipment, instead a small gold bag to work out of. -Unhygienic overall. - Receptionist seems overwhelmed by working all by herself. She’s very kind, understanding and polite and constantly has to apologise to irate clients being delayed with their confirmed bookings. - prices are very reasonable however it’s not worth the stress, anxiety that one feels as a client. - No visible owner to be seen in the salon. - Meryn is a kind, polite, talented and a professional nail the******. -Disappointed to see her work in the above conditions/challenges. *Regrettably, not sure if I’ll be back…
