Ampath accounts department dont have a clue about competence. MONTHS after having paid my account, they still send me SMS's and emails reporting that I still owe them that amount. How do these people manage to hold down their jobs ?

Today I went to Ampath Witfield Lab to draw blood for INR. I haven’t received the results and there’s no information on their app showing that I went to the lab today. What could be the reason for this? ID number 6610310462080

I'm slowly losing my cool with this company. I'm highly frustrated with the accounts department. When they want their money they pester you with LoDs but when they have to refund you, it takes them years, with hoops and leaps in between. Anything for them to delay giving you back your money. Mind you I dealt with Melita then the next minute I'm dealing with Nombulelo and they both telling me (separate communication) they can't refund to a different account to the one I initially made payment from, which if fine but why is this not communicated from the onset? Why is it not written on the refund document so that there is no back and forth? I didn't even get confirmation from Nombulelo telling me that everything is now fine and how long the refund process is going to take etc so that I know where I stand with getting my refund. I just want what's due to me. It might be a lot for them but the interesting thing is that even if it was R50 due to them, they would still want their money.

My wife was recently admitted for Wilgers Life hospital. A few days after these been hose I received 5 invoices and paid all 5. I mailed Ampath to ask how many more there will be to which they rep**** that my account is in credit of R2300+ but the credit has been there since 2024. I rep**** with all the POPs for all the payments, even for the 2024 invoices which they required, I filled on the refund form, sent my banking confirmation letter, and waited 4 days for them to reply ONLY to ask AGAIN for my refund form. Nombulelo, the lady is utterly *********** asking for the same documentation on the SAME email thread. How can a multi billion rand company employ such *********** people. Ampath sits on MILLIONS of rands worth of refunds and they dont bother trying to contact people informing them of the refunds, they'd rather sit on the money and earn interest? Not once in 2 years have they contacted me for the refund, only informed me after conacting them, now it is impossible to get the refunds because they employ *********** idiots!!! If I were able to give a 0 star rating I would. Next time my wife or I get admitted to the hospital I will INSIST on not using any Ampath services

Exceptionally poor service and rude staff at Linksfield Clinic this morning. Took fees to pay for the tests but they were not able to do the tests and would not refund patient to her credit card.

Ampath refuses to release my test results to me stating it is confidential, confidential to who?, its literally my result. My blood and my money went to the test. They say I have to discuss it with my doctor to find out. Absurd that my blood results are hidden behind a paywall even after I tested and payed for the tests. The message from Ampath is sorry it is part of our policy. Ridiculous.

experience we had at the Ampath lab at Peglerea Hospital in Rustenburg. My pregnant wife and I arrived at the lab after 18:00, only to be informed by the nurse on duty that they could not assist us with a blood withdrawal because of their policy regarding after-hours services. We were told that they only assist admitted patients, which left us in a difficult position. This policy is particularly concerning for those of us who work late and cannot arrive before 18:00. It’s frustrating to see a facility that is meant to provide support to patients unable to assist us when needed. I am really disappointed with the service provided by Ampath, as it feels like a lack of consideration for patients' needs. I hope this issue can be addressed, so future patients don’t have to face similar challenges.

Good day. Pardon if my email might sound a bit rude, but as i am typing I am trying to be civil. I recently undergone a hysterectomy so I am aware that a lot of blood was drawn and tested done etc. Why I am upset is that I did receive an invoice for almost R6000 - which if my medical aid do not pay I will have to pay it. But the terminology on the invoice was unclear to me. I asked for a description of what test it was and the response i received blew my mind. I must ask my dr to explain? Really? Why the hell must I pay my gynecologist R2000 for a consultation to just to get a description of what type of test was done? I know she explained there will be tests done for blood count, sugar, rabies, Herpes, hepatitis, mad ***, cancer whatever is needed. I do not need a detailed description on why - I want to know what? If it's something deadly or cancerous my gynae will eventually call me. And if it was something like cancer, I would have heard from her by now, it's been 2 weeks since the test was done. I just want to know what histology block per sample means. Refer to invoice No.: WXZ34427 . Lancet invoices shows blood count or cholesterol or what ever. If i need to pay for something I need to know at least what test was performed.
