www.aquariu****ls.co.za started a pool installation at our house 3 months ago. The hole was dug, a pool added and then all was halted for building plan approvals. Which is something a professional builder/pool installer should have known should be done before starting a job? During this time he promised to start at our house with some work while we waited for the plans. It never happened. When we questioned him he sent messages to my huband like "I've had enough of your whining. The guy on HelloPeter was a **** like you." This was how he spoke to us, his clients. Once the building plans were done and all was in order to start, he set a date but never showed up, after lots of excuses he set another 2 dates but never started. We had guests coming in so we sent him a mail saying we would give him almost 2 weeks to get his stuff together in order to start Wednesday 9 November and he aggreed. He didnt show up, and the next day he sent us a message saying "This project went pear shaped I suggest you find someone else." This after 3 months of stalling. In reply to when we would receive our R80 000 deposits back, we got a "I will see you incourt. I know how these cases go". So 3 months later we have a hole in the ground with an incomplete (a serious safety hazard and liability while taking in guests) and we have lost R80 000. 3 weeks before our guests start pouring into a fully booked December and January. I am 6 months pregnant, at a loss of words and disappointed in what has become of humanity. I will go to court even if I have to spend R80 000 more, but I will make sure that the word travels through Cape Town and warn as many friends and friends of friends so they wont have to go through what we have been through the last 3 months. PLEASE SHARE THIS POST AND WARN A BROTHER.

In short, Lester invoiced me for pool, plus 3 solar panels & removal of rubble, with the usual extra's. He left my property without finishing the pool installation ie no electrics done,( pool ws running on an electric cord on top of the paving) left DB board in the box, NO SOLAR PANELS & the rubble , about 4 skips, in the servitude behind my property. He also gt to do the extra paving job , for which he gt paid in full & to date have nt received an invoice. Left the job undone, which took 2 wks too long & bad workmanship all over- poor grouting, uneven, unaligned & incomplete as he fell short of paving. Pitched up late with workers everyday at noon.
CONCLUSION: Had to pay additional costs to redo all the paving including the cement under the coping tiles around the pool, by another contractor, for an electrician to connect the pool pump &light, rubble removal, backwash installation for pool, cleaning of site, repaint all the walls they dirtied, re-installation of braai cupboards they removd & arrange solar panel delivery &installation. He harrassed me for early payment too. Do not do business with them.
