Im not sure why the staff of this company are so arrogant. Rcs handed me over and I made an arrangement to settle the account on the 10th March 2026. I have been waiting for the settlement letter with the banking details to make payment since Friday 6 March! According to Nasiphi and her Supervisor Amanda/Amanda the settlement letter was sent on Saturday. All im getting are smses stating I failed to pay and even those smses don't have banking details !! Nasiphi did NOT handle this well as im still waiting for the email with name details. Seems like this company does not wane money. My settlement offer has apparently since expired and I dnt qualify anymore. Please can these employees test their emails to see if they get delivered. My email address is antheaoneill2@gmail.com incase I got it wrong coz thats what I suspect but the level of patience I received from the employees is pathetic.

Absolutely pathetic service. I got handed over for recovery on my FNB credit card due to loss of income. We made payment arrangements and I stuck to the agreement and upheld my end and settled the outstanding ballance in November 2025. Since then I have been trying to get a letter confirming that I have done so with no results. Numerus emails sent with absolute silence from there end. I call them and get told that i will have the letter by 7pm the afternoon just to receive nothing from them. I can not do any aplication for credit and everything on my end is on hold because of this. My account is in a possitive at this stage yet im still charged interest on my own money. DO NOT go into a payment arrangement with these people. Shocking service for people that work in the legal space!

If I could give minus 5 starts I would. This company is unprofessional, rude and not helpful at all. Despite trying to make an arrangement that they refused, getting send back and forth between them and Makro - I managed to resolve the issue with Makro and pay the outstanding balance on this account. I get 25 missed calls from ARA on a daily basis and again tried to contact them to inform them that I made payment in full. 3 calls later which was transferred to 6 different agents and then dropped, I gave up - I made payment so I have nothing to hide from them! My next step is to report them to the Debt Collectors Ombud because they are extremely inefficient! How this company still exists is beyond me.

We had the worst experience with Ara. We settled and paid a personal loan with Absa Bank with them 3 and a half months ago. To Date we have not received our paid up/ settlement letter. We call them continuously yet no one is assisting. It takes 21 days to get that letter however a even bigger concern is they did not supply proof of payment and Absa still lists it on the Credit Report now as missed payments with the lack of response and everything happening it seems they never paid the loan. 3 and a half months later. Absolutely terrible service.

Rude obnoxious emails on behalf of Edgars claiming your account is in arears when it isnt Seems lile a **** because they dont have your ID number or account number and want you to provode it

Contionous pestering to pay an account, yet I did email them to state that I can make a minimum payment of R500, but they will keep emailing and pressuring me to pay the balance. What can a person do if they are not employed , i didnt ask not to be employed, no benefits what's so ever from the company I was last employed at. They just seem to not understand.
