Used my Beekman timeshares to book a self-catering unit. Checked-in on 24 Dec 2021, and ordered in. On 25 Dec 2021 while trying to prepare our meal, we realised the oven was not working and the technician was not able to fix it. Sadly, instead of offering us a meal, we were offered a 50% discount off the restaurant menu, which I foumd absurd and unfortunate. They basically want me to split the cost of food they they failed to ensure their equipment was in full working order. This place has no respect for guests.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of booking at this lodge for my wife’s birthday, from 22 to 24 Sep 2019.We reached the resort at 6.00am with an unfriendly welcome. We were there for a game drive and not too check in as they assumed. The game drive was 1hour 45minutes not 2.5 hours as communicated. At the breakfast table we had to ask for service for coffee etc. with a blatant disregard for myself and my wife seated. Tables adjacent to us were served and eventually we had to ask for assistance. Then the unit was susceptible to noise from adjacent rooms. Yes, they did move us to another unit but had no ventilation without opening a window. Unorganized booking. They had our event dates incorrect. No reminders of events booked. We subsequently missed our elephant experience. Yes, we eventually looked back on email trail and found a confirmation which wasn’t aligned to the front desk. There was no reminder at check in or check out which is standard service at all other hotels we stayed at. I had to call in several times to initiate a resolution. Again sub standard attitude from the reservation manager Pat. An “investigation” took 2 weeks. There’s evidently an attitude issue within this organization that’s undesirable in the hospitality industry which should be addressed. It was a good amount of money spent and every guest should feel equal and welcome. Upon asking for a refund only for the elephant experience that we missed out on. The offering from the GM Dave Atherstone was a “token of goodwill” where we would effectively be paying 50% toward our next stay and 50% of Elephant experience that we full paid for previously and the cost of driving through. Laughable. Claimed 4 star lodge with 1/2 star service. Rather seek alternative accommodation at Pilanesberg/ Nambiti/ Dinokeng etc.

I bought a washing machine from game in less than a year thevhime broke i reported this the repairs were to take 2 weeks its been lile 4 weeks now i have to hand wash. And i feel that as a consumer i was not informed that the guarantee and repair of the machine has a wait this long. The repair costs me weekly more money than a assistant at home full time. I was refererred by game to hisense and hisense has not even bothered to read my ema. Meanwhile every day i have to handwah.

I purchased a 13kg Samsung top loader washing machine on 23 April 2013 and the salesperson convinced me to buy an extended warranty at an additional cost of R439 for peace of mind. He told me that Samsung products come standard with a 2 year warranty and i could pay just R439 and have another 4 years added to my warranty. That was the only reason i agreed to take the extended warranty which i also bought for my fridge, freezer, tv and stove. My washing machine is not holding water so i did not freak out as i knew i had the extended warranty. When i called the call centre today to my dismay and utter disgust i was told in a very rude manner my warranty has expired Game does not give 4 year warranties. I felt so cheated why did i spend that much to be told it was just for an additional 2 years and not 4 years as the salesperson had told me. It seems like a scam in the electronics department at GAME GATEWAY as they will sugarcoat the truth to make commission and lie to the customers. I am educated and i was duped so what are they doing to others? That man could have sold ice to an eskimo i was convinced i had peace of mind. I have all the documentation. I will never shop at this store again. Its a waste of money to buy extended warranties from Game as they lie and cheat you out of your hard earned money. PATHETIC!!!

Having previously visited Askari, and being so impressed with the view, the elephants and the food and service we booked a special mother's day lunch at Askari with GREAT EXPECTATIONS!!

We easily managed to get a booking (even though only doing so the Wednesday prior to the Sunday as all other venues were fully booked already). We were a bit shocked that the Buffet Lunch was suddenly R280 p/person instead of the usual R165 p/person, but accepted the explanation of \treating our mothers with a special gift on the day.'The 'special gift' was a glass of champagne and a small packet with bath treats (R115 per person extra = R460 worth????)
We were then seated right at the back of the hall
