Unproffesional Service right through. You get there for an an appointment, no one acknowledges you, the receptionist Male is unptpffesional and chit chats instead of working and there is no courtesy to even say please wait while we help others then you can come through!!!! Unprofessional and not sure why companies use them for their recruitment, creates a bad candidate experience!!!

I was a part time merchandiser for Phakisa Holdings for almost 5 years. Sometimes they don't pay on time. If they give you a 3 week contract, you might not get paid that whole 3 weeks the if you complain enough they will pay you months later and even then not the full amount. When you tell them your salary is not complete they ask you which timesheet is missing. When you say you don't know they should ask hr or payroll to check their system, they ignore you. I no longer work for Phakisa Holdings but I have around R2500 outstanding salary they owe me. It's been 2 years I complained but now they've totally ignored me. I asked them to apply for UIF for me and they sent the UI19 form to me to fill out. I told them I'm not sure exactly when I started coz it was years ago and they told me they will check. They don't even know when I started working for them coz when they sent me the completed forms it said I worked for them for 1 week and my UIF is R13 which I can't even claim.

The exploitation of people from this company is on another level, there's a lady called Grace and another one I forgot her name very rude. They address people like they are nothing it's very disappointing I must say. Their contract has only a start date and doesn't have end date, they expect people to work beyond 10 hours without explanation of it being overtime. When they are being addressed about the issue their stuff becomes confrontational and threatens to fire people. They end up tricking people to sign exit contracts without explaining or being honest about the whole process and the reason for it. Worst company I've ever set my foot in.

When I started working for Phakisa as a merchandiser it was great. The money was fine and I enjoyed my job. After some time, they started not getting my salary. The job I did said we receive weekly salaries but we can go to work all month and not get a salary. Sometimes you would get your salary but it wouldn't be the full amount. I don't understand how that happens because I'm sure all the Phakisa employees(i.e. admin staff, managers, etc)get their salaries but us that are employed by them( merchandisers) don't receive ours but they expect us to be at work every single day not thinking how we would get to work with no money for transport. As a result many of us end up being in debt because of this, because we want to be good at our jobs and not get fired, even though we don't get paid. Some of us receive salaries months after our contracts end and we have to keep reminding them that they still have not payed us. I wouldn't recommend working there to anyone, the employees there don't care about us, as long as they get their money they don't care if we get payed or not. For instance I didn't have money for Christmas, for my mother or me daughter's birthday. But I stayed in faith that the next week I would get paid but still nothing.
