Whilst Atlantic Moto the premises and dealership is apparently no longer there in Voortrekker Road Bellville, the owner and skelm, Freddie Huyseman, still sells vehicles and under the premise that he is a dealer. Then when you complain about the **** he lied about and covered up of the vehicle which he just conned you into buying, he gives forth that he is not a dealer in order to duck and dive further action from The Consumer Protection Act and the like. His son Devan Huyseman advertises on Facebook Marketplace, but Freddie is the most lying and cheating scumbag ever!!! I have not had dealings with his son, only him though, and sadly he dodges you once you start complaining about faults on the vehicle. I purchased a vehicle after test driving it on 31st Oct 2020. I paid a R1000 deposit and he then said he will put in new tyres, valet the vehicle and di all the ruadworthy and licensing etc. Like all dealers do. He claims there was an issue with the battery as the car wasn't driven for a while so between the time of me test driving it and taking delivery on 4th Nov 2020, the airbag light came on. When I took delivery he said he will sort it out again with his mechanics for me I shouldn't worry. When driving away from the so called dealership, which he now claims he is not a dealer, I heard a bad undercarriage creeking sound. I called him immediately when I stopped at the nearest garage to throw in fuel, as the under carriage sound was a bit alarming. I have evidence of calls and whatsapp chat history of all this and of his lies. He said he had left the dealership premises already and to drive like that he will sort it out again for me. When I asked when and if I can bring the vehicle back the next day, Thursday, or the Friday, he said he won't be available but we can sort it out out the next week. The next week came and he was then up-country purchasing another vehicle. Up until now he has not sorted out anything! He sent me to a mechanic, Autofix c/o Reed and Robert Sobukwe Streets Bellville, to go and have the airbag error light reset, without arranging for my arrival with the mechanic or owner. Told me just to go around there and ask for Taj. When I got there the guy Taj said he no longer does work for Freddie Huysemam and that he will charge me to reset the airbag light. When I complained to Freddie about driving out to Bellville for nothing and that Taj told me I have to pay and he no longer does work for him, Freddie said yes he spoke to his son Devan and Devan said he doesn't have dealings with Autofix any more and it's better so, but that he, Freddie, never had dealings himself with Taj. Yet he sent me there!? Then afterwards he said yes it's better so as Taj messed up on another vehicle of theirs when his dealership was still at the Voortrekker Road premises. Little was I to know that he has been lying all along and had no intentions to fix the faults on the car. Which was there prior to me taking delivery and which I took upon him promising that he will sort it out. I have put in a formal complaint with MIOSA (Motor Industry Ombudsman of SA), who now just conveniently closed the case as he says the monies was paid directly into his private bank account and that he is not a dealer. Yet the registration papers is in the name of Atlantic Moto. (I have a photo of the vehicle registration paper before they registered the vehicle in my name) and this I'm sure can be confirmed by the Motor Vehicle Registration Authorities as well. I have sent this and the whatsapp chat backup to MIOSA, but they just closed the case :-( He has been so rude and swore to me on the phone, all of which I backed up on whatsapp chat. I forwarded this through to MIOSA too but they did not seem interested. The undercarriage noise is still there on the vehicle, so is the airbag error light. He said the vehicle had full service history, but the service light still comes on. I've pointed out to him that the rear PDC does not work, he says well it did as his son pulled up the car almost right upto the wall and it was working. Well, when the car broke down in the first month and I had to recondition and repair the starter completely, which he claimed was a battery issue, the mechanic just had a look at the PDC and it was found that there is not even any PDC module in the rear. So, it could never had been working. The window washer was faulty too which I pointed out to him, but I had that fixed too at my expense. He has been dodging and making excuses and once he has your money you can forget about getting anything he promised. I may as well have bought a car privately, as I trusted that I am buying from a dealer and he just made all the empty promises about fixing everything. Now he washes his hands after all his lies is coming to the fore. Don't buy anything from him don't be fooled into having any dealing with him. He drives around in a nice white Nissan Skyline GTR and just gives forth of how he rather does honest business etc., but he is a rude con artist. In all honesty I would not have been so upset and frustrated if all the faults I pointed out to him was mentioned to me from the start and then I could decide if I still wanted to buy or negotiate on the price, like one does when buying a car privately. But he said he is a dealer and will sort it out. Till you drive away and he is then up country fetching a car or his mechanics that he uses are not available. He makes all types of excuses and lies. I bought an Audi A6 3.0 TDI from him. He also had a Range River Sport that was at his lot, a Honda Civvic sedan Automatic, the big body one like 180lxi 2008 shape. A Pajero I think and some other vehicles.

Very eager and happy to purchase a vehicle from Atlantic Moto. I kindly asked the salesman who was the owner's son to please just get his mechanic to check one thing of the vehicle for me so that I had peace of mind with regards to the purchase. He said that he would do this no problem and that I would hear from him the next week. Came the following Monday I did not hear from him to which I reached out to see if he had indeed taken it to his mechanic but I was met with an excuse that his mechanic was "too busy and can possibly look the following day". At this point red flags had been raised to which I lost interest in the purchase. The following day I was contacted by the same salesman (around 2PM) to say that the vehicle was sold by his colleague without him knowing (WHAT BS!). I then was browsing Gumtree later that evening (around 9PM) to which I saw the same adverti*****t posted an hour prior. This may seem like a lighthearted dishonesty, however, begs the question as to what they really keep from customers. Seems as though the staff are not eager to make sales let alone HONEST sales. I would be very mindful of any adverti*****ts or sales from ATLANTIC MOTO. Very dishonest and zero customer satisfaction ambition from the staff!

After about a year of looking for a car, I have had unfortunate private dealings with owners trying to sell a car that had been in an accident. This is the reason why I turned to dealerships hoping that this would guarantee transparency and honesty. I contacted Atlantic Moto in Belleville to look at a VW Polo 1.4 Trendline going for R130, 000. Charl met me at my mechanic and spoke nervously and over-confidently about the car. According to him, the car had reversed gently into something so had had a "small knock" but mechanically it was 100% sound and vowed he "would have no doubts about selling this car to anyone". My mechanic immediately saw that this car had been in a major accident and should not be allowed to be sold by a dealership, unless they declared it having had a major accident. I hope people always think to take any cars they wish to buy to a mechanic they know and trust! For not even dealerships can be trusted.

Bought a car from them, they promised me that this car is through roadworthy. when I went to draw the papers, it appears on the system at the traffic dept that this car was last roadworthy in 2010. my contract states that R5000 of the amount is for "on the road" cost. now I need to do it myself even though I've paid for it already. do not leave that garage if you have confirmation from the traffic dept that the car you are buying has been through the test. please beware!!!!
