Took in my BMW E90 325i for a gearbox repair, the vehicle had about 25 to empty on fuel. When I received the invoice it included a four hundred rand fuel on which they charged me together with the repairs. When I left the car the kilometers were 241938km and when I went to fetch it 241951km but to my surprise the tank was still were it was. I wrote them an email and sent them whatsapp messages to complain they never returned to me. So my fellow South Africans please be careful of this company that rips your hard earn money by not refueling your vehicle when you take it in for any repairs.

(Bad service does not do honest business and changes their story all the time) I took my Ford d/c with a differential humming noise to Auto box manual section and was in their shop for five weeks Crown wheel and Pinnion replaced twice ending up put the old parts back with new bearings and the humming noise was much better then. Be WARNED if you are not satisfied with the work and do not make a payment you are propebly not going to get your vehicle back.

I seriously recommend that you pass on these guys especially if you have a mahindra, they are clueless and have no business ethic. dont expect any feedback either they simply dont care. EVERYTHING they say on their website is totally nonsense. i had the worst experiance at an alarming cost with them. did gearbox first time and then a month later 5th gear gone. they charged me to repair again ( 6 month warranty......? ) got it back and serious noise in 5th....took it to them and was told its ok the noise will go away and the box wont leave me beside the road.....a month later and yip broke again same as before . they fixed it under duress after trying their luck with a 15k qoute. the vehicle was full of oil stains and the interior gearbox cover wasn't even fitted back....floormats wasn't put back either. Cant actualy drive it since i was given back the vehicle for it vibrates in every gear and wines in 2nd 4th and fith. struckle to find reverse and 1st. Simply wont recommend these guys....there is no business or moral ethics at all and dont believe a word about a 6 month warranty thats BS to date i spent 28k plus minus and have a useless gearbox . I should never have let them touch it!!!!

Just a few points on my experience with Auto Box CC (manual division) and the poor workmanship they did on my side shafts at a highly inflated rate; • The owner was advice when accepting the work, the power it will be making and the modification already done • I was at no stage made aware of terms and conditions from their side as to a warranty or a void of such if there would be problems. The owner is hiding behind this now as he cannot admit to poor workmanship. I have all the evidence (metallurgical reports) of the poor workmanship…..Bunch or cowards! • I had the old shafts tested by a metallurgical company and it was found to be weakened on the ends where they did the engineering, no heat treatment was done to relief the stresses induced with the cutting of splines (I submitted this with the RMI claim but it was just ignored). • I phoned around for a few quotes and could have billet shafts made up for the same amount of money they asked just to weaken my shafts • I am currently still running the second hand shafts that I have sourced and had serviced. Making more power than the day it broke. I can prove this with the revision of the maps that show the power figures and the dates received from the tuning house. • The shafts have a known track record of not breaking on moderate tunes, so it just proves again how poor their workmanship is and how big cowards they are in not even admitting their faults. The owner just pulls up his shoulders and says well not my problem after having me pay his inflated rates and assuring me that the work done from their side is 100% correct. Well guess what the metallurgical reports says something completely different! I have lodged a complaint with the motor industry ombudsman for what is worth but I will however post this encounter on every public group possible as people must know about them and how sly they are! So guys stay away from Auto Box CC (Manual division) and management they are a sly bunch of crooks and will not assist you in any way if you have issues after they have done work on your vehicle.

I took my LDV to Auto Box because of a strange noise coming from the rear of my LDV. They diagnosed the problem as the bearings on the diff where the driveshafts exit the diff. I took my vehicle in and constantly had to phone them for feedback after they promised to keep me informed. After taking out the diff it was determined that they made the wrong diagnoses, it was only the center bearing on the prop shaft that was faulty and that the diff was in good order. Since the diff was removed and the vehicle has high mileage they convinced me to replace the two bearings they initially thought was damaged in any case to which I agreed. When I got my vehicle back there was a terrible humming noise from the diff which was not there before. I took my LDV back to them and they told me it was because they re[placed the bearings and that the noise will go away in time. It did not and I went back to them again only to be told that they take no responsibility and again told me it will get better in time. It is now a year and 8000km later and the noise is worse than ever. I will not recommend or trust these people ever again.
