The customer-facing staff were the only positive reality of this experience, though it was clear they were being left alone without any support from the top end. The owner and management should be ashamed of the poor quality of work and the consistent failure to keep basic service delivery promises. It is in utter disbelief that a simple job took forever to fix, only for the business to be perfectly happy to hand over a substandard job and provide consistently poor correspondence throughout. It was a total waste of time, and it is unfair to leave frontline staff to answer for management's failures; I cannot recommend this business.

After my accident Autolab Menlyn had to fix it. They discovered a modification to the car and stopped working. The dealer then provided the fan and nothing was done to my aircon and one mudguard is still not fixed. This 352 days after the incident. For over 300 days they did not have a replacement car to finish the job. I still have the loose muguard and had to fix my aircon myself after my insurance have paid them to fix everything related to the accident. Companies like this should not be allowed to do business. They don't care for one minute about their client. They, the dealership and the insurer with Avis refuse to communicate. I tried to get this to happen with well over 100 e-mails and calls. Avoid this business. You cannot trust their ********* treatment of clients!

My car went in to Auto Lab for a minor repair recently, the service was exceptional. The service representative Alicia Wentzel was exceptional in handling a grumpy old man by having all documents ready,, having coffee served, arranging a drive David to take me home and best of all providing me with an accurate delivery date. Alicia also sent me daily updates of the progress of work, sent David to collect me and had the car and paperwork ready for collection. The repair/ replacement looks great. If all service businesses employ customer facing staff who are efficient, friendly and knowledgeable life would be much better.

I would NOT recommend Menlyn AutoLab at all. I made use of AutoLab Menlyn in 2021 after I was in an small accident and up to day my issues have not been resolved. My car has since been booked in to their shop to see what the problem is and even then, and after the initial repair of my car, my car has been returned to me with half a tank less fuel than what it had upon entrusting them with my vehicle. I am very disgusted with the way in which the situation was dealt with after I complained about it. They said they would get back to me on the matter but never did. I would not recommend their services not only due to the fact that my fuel goes missing every time I book my car in, but due to the fact that I’m experiencing more problems with my car after it went in for repairs at their shop.

I'm very disappointed at the service provided. Even in 2019 when my car was still under their service, lot of things were removed from my car. I reported all the faults and none were sorted out. And i was even booked for fixing on the 11 November 2019,when i got there i was told that was sorted out. I had brought the issue of tow bar not functioning among other issues and i was told it was also fixed until I took the car for service same month and they denoted a problem with the installation of the tow bar. I brought the issue to their attention again then, and i was told to bring the car for fixing the tow bar when I could.And as I thought it's something regarding the tow bar that i hardly use, and i practically had no time to go from one province to another i thought bringing the issue up when i have time means exactly that. So now that the car only got booked for this month, yesterday even: I have to be told it's my fault to wait for almost 3 years which is not at the truth of the matter as I reported it immediately when i realized it.The only problem to wait to bring the car for fixing was the distance and time matter.I took the car for service in that 2019 where the problem was identified as the wiring and installation problem.Yesterday after waiting the whole day for a call of feedback on the car, i get to be told it's the problem of water and the cap closing the tow bar???The cap i removed it recently when trying to place a trailer little did i know it will be an excuse to cause the problem that had been there ever since the car went for fixing after the accident. So disappointing.

Poor service. When undertaking repairs on a clients vehicle and then the vehicle needs to get to the agents for further repairs, this agreement is between you guys and the agents. The client does not get involved here. My vehicle was sent in to the agents and work undertaken was not good. Queried this and I was asked to follow this up with the agents. How is this now my problem? Disappointed.

Recently had my car repaired at Autolab Menlyn for a dent and scratch on my front bumper. I am pleased to say that it was a quick and efficient job, my belongings that I had forgotten to take out of my car were safely returned to me and I have never had better dealings with a panel beater before.
