To hellopeter I wish to compliment a business for exceptional service would you kindly review this To Hellopeter Automan Fitment Centre “We do more than fix your immediate vehicle issues” states the flyer from the Automan Fitment Centre in Maitland How true!! Before my vehicle was actually serviced I received the following complimentary items · A 130 point mechanical check done by the professionals · The gift of a sun-visor · A significant dent removed from a front panel · And at the end, a valet service both interior and exterior. The centre offers numerous other services at moderate prices and of course has the most up to date diagnostic equipment Lastly and most important. The business is family- owned and run, for over 30 years. Vincent Harrison

Poor garage
They have been servicing and doing repairs on my car for a period of time,. The car the mixed water and oil. I took it to their garage and I was given an estimate price for 9k to sort the problem out. But I ended up paying 16k and got the car with the same mixing problem I don't recommend this garage to anyone. I had to pay extra 3k the price. I ended up paying 20k for this problem but it was just a simple problem which a qualified can easily RESOLVE. They wrongly diagnose my car and replaced parts that were working only to realise late the it was a gearbox oil cooler. Never again will I set my foot here even if it the last garage letft in Cape Town

<div>Took my vehicle in for a service at AUTOMAN MILNERTON. They did the advertised additional checks and called me to say my brakes needed urgent attention (pad replacement and skimming). I didn’t think so and suggested I would have that done next time. I collected my vehicle and immediately went to a brake shop in MONTAGUE GARDENS where I was told my brakes are perfectly fine (over 50%) thickness. The brake shop could easily have done the brakes but they were extremely honest and pointed out the brakes. I concluded hat AUTOMAN wanted to catch me in the moment and capitalize on the opportunity while they had me captive. I won’t be returning there again.</div>

useless wheel alignment
Automan in Milnerton did my wheel alignment and within 2 weeks my front tires were totally destroyed because the alignment was so badly done. I'd rather give zero stars because of the R4000 I will have to spend to replace the two damaged tires.

useless wheel alignment

overprized and not helpful
Took car for assessment in order to claim from warranty insurance, they however found other issues, forced me to get them fixed immediately ('we can't put the wheel back on otherwise') and then charged horrendous amounts. I was only quoted for parts, I understand that you add a hell of a markup. But the amounts charged for labour and 'consumables' is hilarious. My initial problem is still not fixed, am still waiting for an update. Will just go back to my good old backyard mechanic.

Beware
Beware, I believe them to be rip off artists using 2nd parts etc. One time they charged a good couple of hundred to “fix” a tail pipe and all they had done was cut the last 2cm off that had rusted. Every time you go there’s a long list of stuff to be done & caught them out once as they told me there was a certain expensive thing to be done that i knew they had done only two years before and should have never needed to be done again, when I queried it suddenly their records didn’t go back 2 years. I stopped using them and I advise you to STAY AWAY.
