Absolutely shocking service! No communication. Can wait forever for your Medical waste to be removed as there is always a problem with the drivers?!? They never pitch when they've made an appointed time to collect, then they postpone and then never pitch again and so it goes. Your complaints fall on deaf ears. Don't waste your time dealing with a company that will just frustrate you.

For the last two years the service from Averda has been beyond shocking. Since they took over the local SA company everything went south very fast. Trying to get your skip emptied is just a waste of time. We have been kept waiting for weeks at a time and with no communication or if they do communicate its to say they have truck issues and will forward our query to operations. Calling also doesnt help much as the call center also forwards the complaint and still nothing happens. We gave notice as we cannot deal with this disgusting service any longer. We are still waiting for our skip to be emptied and uplifted. Please do NOT consider using this company for your waste management.

For the last almost 2 years, I have had appalling service from Averda. I request the bin to be emptied, and after ZERO feedback on delays, multiples calls from myself, it still takes about 6 weeks before we get service. With COVID affecting many businesses, I always gave them the benefit of the doubt, even with the constant level of frustration. However, it is now 2022, and it again took 5 weeks for them to service our bin. I was furious and decided they had had enough opportunities to improve their level of service, both the waste removal and customer liaising. I sent through a termination of services letter. I ensured I got written and verbal confirmation that they had received and actioned the termination the same day it was sent. Their maximum 30 day cancellation period was coming up, and I followed up once a week with a call to assess the progress of the cancellation. All the person could tell me was that it was underway. Monday 28th February was D-day. The cancellation period had lapsed and they had been told to uplift their bin by then, as our yard does not have space for theirs and the NEW bin from a different contractor. I have called every day this week. I have called twice today (friday) alone. I have emailed twice this week. NOT A SINGLE PERSON has returned my call or responded to my emails. There service is horrendous, and I do not recommend using their services ever.

For an international company, Averda South Africa must be a huge embarrassment!! Not only are these people incapable of responding to emails, but never return calls either. Been trying to get someone to contact/respond to me regarding their account.. But to no avail!! Oh, and try getting hold of the MD, Mr. Tootla, and you are blocked every which way!! I suppose the rumors are true!! I think they need to review their ethos...

Poor service and lack of communication from Averda SA. Collection of refuse skip can never be guaranteed. Stay far away from this company as they never keep to a schedule and you as the client are forced to call them to follow up on their poor service delivery. You can never get through to management when calling as they filter you directly to reception. KEEP AWAY!!!!!!!

We are still awaiting feedback and acknowledgment from an accident which occurred last year December. One of the Averda trucks carrying a brick load smashed our vehicles windscreen and also damaged our dashboard. I have been referred to different people as well as their insurance company but yet to no prevail. We have all the email correspondence from the relevant persons I have spoken to from Averda's side as well as from their insurance side. The last contact we have received was in April this year, their insurance company advised that the feedback they received from Averda was that the bin of the particular truck in question was empty on the day of the incident. So, my question to Averda and their insurance company is, if the bin was empty why did their driver stop to provide us with all his details and also go with us to Muizenberg police station to open up a case. I was then asked for a contact number of a witness from their insurance company and provided my partners details as he was on the scene of the accident. Up until today we have yet to receive any communication from Averda or their insurance company regarding the incident and acknowledgment for the damages done.

For the past few weeks, we have been struggling to get feedback and service delivery from Averda - East London. The Ops manager promises to empty overflowing skips, yet never sees it through. Apparent blame for recent events is due to shortage of vehicles and their parts, however this has never been communicated through to customers so they can make alternate arrangements. There is no customer service delivery. My calls to the ops manager's cellphone are ignored, calling the number on google i get placed on hold when asking to speak to the manager, and whist on hold i get an sms from the ops manager saying he is in a meeting - co-incidental? I think not. East London is small folks, service delivery needs to be efficient especially when its a paying service!!!
