Don’t use them full stop!!! They charged me R3000 to replace a pump for witch I paid cash. Apparently 24 month warranty on parts witch is BULL. After 2 months machine had the same problem. I phoned again and since then the 2 appointments they made they didn’t pitch up and don’t answer my calls. So they robed me and they are a disappointment. They can’t even give me their business address. Stay away people they will only take your money for a job they didn’t do.

I only gave this company a 1 star, because it wouldn't allow me to give a ZERO! Our microwave stopped heating recently. We called this guy who came & checked it out. He told us a part needs to be replaced, which he happened to have because he had a suspicion what the issue was. We tested before he left & all seemed to be working fine. A couple of days later, it stopped heating. We decided to get another company to assist. When this new guy opened up the microwave, there was no new part in it, but literally a piece of sticky tape, holding together a greasy wire that look like it's from the dark ages. PS: Avilin charged us R800 for the sticky tape & wire.. Wishing I could post pictures, because it's still unbelievable to me.

I only gave this company a 1 star, because it wouldn't allow me to give a ZERO! Our microwave stopped heating recently. We called this guy who came & checked it out. I called them to attend to a Defy Gemini hob. Control switches did not operate properly. The Technician arrived and his first question was "How are you going to pay?" The hob was removed and it was claimed that one switch was replaced. The hob was replaced and the Technician stated "It is 100% When they gave me the invoice with no reference number, it was stated on invoice :Supplied and installed control switches. When hob was used, the problem still existed. The work has a written guarantee of 6 months on work done.When problem was reported to Avilin all sorts of excuses were offered on why they could only attend to problem 4 days later. This service provider is certainly not recommended. They do poor work and is then reluctant to attend to problems

THIEVES and SCAMMERS FOR SURE! I paid R1600 for them to repair my washing machine, then later on it had the same problem. They have been promising to come and look at it for 2 weeks but no one ever arrives!

THIEVES, LIARS AND SCAMMERS IT'S BEEN 3 MONTHS SINCE THEY HAVE BEEN GIVING ME THE RUN AROUND WITH MY FRIDGE. THEY CAME AND SAID THAT THEY NEED TO TAKE MY FRIDGE AND REPAIR IT AT THEY WORKSHOP EVEN NOW I AM STILL WAITING ON MY FRIDGE. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO ASK THEM FOR HELP AS THEY ARE LAIRS, SCAMMERS CROOKS WHO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE AND THEY WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE A LIVING HELL

My defy stove gave an error. I called Avilin Appliances to assess. They assessed and quoted and reinstalled the stove after 13 days - a little longer than I hoped but still okay. I paid them immediately after a successful installation. Pity that the same night, the stove stopped working again with the same error! Not to worry though - they had promised a 6 month guarantee. I made them aware immediately of the fault and they agreed to come and collect and repair. This is where the real nightmare started. After many excuses and much back and forth, they finally agreed (in writing) that they would refund me. That was over 3 weeks back now (well over a month since the first engagement). I have subsequently had to pay ANOTHER company to repair the stove which they thankfully did in 3 days. However, it means I had to make payment for this repair twice! Totally almost R4000 (more than the actual stove if bought new)... and the whole ordeal of not being able to cook for over a month and being messed around by Avilin has led to my tenant giving notice too. On top of that all, I have been lied to on more than one occasion. I keep being promised I will get the refund but there one excuse after the next - first the finance lady was attending a funeral, then I had to wait for a Friday as that is there payment run, then they were out of the office, then they had in fact said I had been paid, only for me to realise the next day I had not. Avilin Appliances [and Spencer in particular with whom I have been dealing with) are liars, thieves and I would caution anyone wanting to use their services. I am now in the process of speaking with a lawyer and taking them to small claims court unless I receive payment within the next 2 days (as promised again!?)
