I placed an online order for a weights set on 4th April, the items arrived on the 8th April, with some items missing. The barbells, without the bars - how that makes sense, I don't know. I went to Riversands store, where the site had said it would be delivered from, & had to wait for the manager to phone numerous staff members, trying to track down the items. Eventually it was discovered that the items were delivered from the Strubens Valley store. I logged a call with customer service again later that day, requesting that I get an update of the delivery date. No response. 2 days later, I called customer service, where once again I was met with total incompetence. I requested a call back from the Strubens Valley store manager. I am still waiting for a response. Today, another email has been sent. I have shopped at Makro for many years & they have just lost a loyal customer. Don't bother shopping with them online, it a useless system. They have another thing coming if they think I'm going to let this go. I want those bars, I paid for them.
I only gave this company a 1 star, because it wouldn't allow me to give a ZERO! Our microwave stopped heating recently. We called this guy who came & checked it out. He told us a part needs to be replaced, which he happened to have because he had a suspicion what the issue was. We tested before he left & all seemed to be working fine. A couple of days later, it stopped heating. We decided to get another company to assist. When this new guy opened up the microwave, there was no new part in it, but literally a piece of sticky tape, holding together a greasy wire that look like it's from the dark ages. PS: Avilin charged us R800 for the sticky tape & wire.. Wishing I could post pictures, because it's still unbelievable to me.

If I could give them a 0, I would. Awful service! Do not respond to communications. Will not repair anything in your apartment unless you hold back payment of your rent, then they jump. And don't hold out any hope of getting back your deposit. You will get a statement saying YOU owe THEM. I am still fighting with them 2 months later trying to get deposit back. Just useless.
