We installed 2 awnings both by Awnmaster Cape. Both had leaks which were reported to them. They tried to fix it but was not able to fix it properly. They use subcontractors which are not competent. I tried to explain to them how much silicon they had to use but they looked at me like I was an idiot. I told them it was not sufficient, next day I had more leaks than before.They have been here 3 times to solve the issues with the slope, the leaks etc but unfortunately I have lost all confidence in them. Empty promises that the manager will be on site which obviously did not happen. The slope of the structure is in the opposite direction of the downpipe. The sheets are too deep which makes it impossible to clean the gutters manually. So frustrating dealing with them. Worst communication. Too many people involved and then only the subcontractors show up on day of installation. No after sales checks on quality control. Do not recommend this company. AVOID!

Unfortunately my experience with Awnmaster was not a pleasant one. They were contracted to install an awning for which they quoted , in addition this quote was a quote from them to install an isoboard ceiling, when they installed the isoboard ceiling the finish was sub standard and of poor quality and nothing like what i was expecting at all. I then got a quote from a 2nd company and was shocked to find out that awnmasters quote was in fact 4 times the price of the 2nd quote i received not to mention that the quote form 2nd supplier was for proper rhino board with cornices including a skimmed finish. I then contacted Awnmaster and requested they remove there sub standard iso ceiling, the 2nd supplier fitted there rhino board ceiling and the finish was superb and workmanship professional. 3 months later and i now have leaking issues which has caused damage to the ceiling and new cupboards that i had fitted . Upon contacting Awnmaster the owner Kevin was defensive and did not want to accept any liability at all and quite frankly was rude and unprofessional. He tried to blame the company that fitted the ceiling . i then contacted the ceiling company and they were extremely helpful and came out to site , i suggested that awnmaster be present at the same time of which they did. it was then discovered that the leaking was related to incorrect installation of awning and non existence of flashing , it was also discovered that there are gaping holes in the new awning. it has been 1 week and several attempts to contact them however they seem to not want to take accountability nor accept liability for damage caused. They only part they have informed me about is that they are coming to fit some custom aluminum piece. i have requested numerous times for formal response with regards to how they are going to solve the issue and the additional costs for cupboard damage etc. Awnmaster have a history as well, in that 2 previous jobs done by them i had to get them back to correct a carport they did for me which was not level and the use of tek *****s instead of pop rivets , there quote clearly indicated pop rivets . i would not recommend them at all

Awnmaster installed a shutter type roof for us. The fall is not correct so when it rains the water pours in on our furniture. Winter is a jightmare die to this. Had them back. They agreed that the fall was not right. Would have discussed it with management. Never got back to us. Even after we left numerous messages. No respons.

I have been working as an Architect for the last 10 years and been in the building industry for 16 years. Being in the service delivery sector, we do not have time to spare to complain about other service providers but I gladly do so when it comes to Awnmaster. I can, with the utmost confidence say that in all my time in the industry I have never had to deal with this level of unprofessional communication and service from a supplier. Insulting members of the project team via email and breaking every promise of delivery to the client for a product already paid for 8 months ago is only the beginning of this completely incompetent and unprofessional supplier. We will most definitely make a point to avoid doing any form of business with them in the furure

I have been working as an Architect for the last 10 years and been in the building industry for 16 years. Being in the service delivery sector, we do not have time to spare to complain about other service providers but I gladly do so when it comes to Awnmaster. I can, with the utmost confidence say that in all my time in the industry I have never had to deal with this level of unprofessional communication and service from a supplier. Insulting members of the project team via email and breaking every promise of delivery to the client for a product already paid for 8 months ago is only the beginning of this completely incompetent and unprofessional supplier. We will most definitely make a point to avoid doing any form of business with them in the furure

We had electrical issues following the installation of our awning which resulted in further expense to ourselves to rectify as their Management completely disregarded our complaint. A year after installation we had further maintenance issues, and once again their Management was not willing to assist with our concern. We are now left trying to decide how to get the matter rectified with the assistance of another service provider.....and again further expense to ourselves!! Their after installation service is putrid, and their Management take no interest in addressing customer concerns. Very disappointing as we spent a lot of money on the installation!!

We are now left trying to decide how to get the matter rectified with the assistance of another service provider.....and again further expense to ourselves!! Their after installation service is putrid, and their Management take no interest in addressing customer concerns. Very disappointing as we spent a lot of money on the installation!!

I contacted them to do a job for a insurance client it took more than 20 working days to make, then when the guys eventually rocked up at the clients home they were very unprofessional and best of all the net did not fit ? I have paid a deposit as well. Now the client refuses to have them back on site so now i am out of pocket and i am not going to get work from insurance company again (contract lost) as this was a high profiled client. There is no communication you wait days if you lucky for someone to get back to you. Awnmaster is supposedly the best but i beg to differ ..........i will never use them again as they "do not know what they are doing " clients words.
