I got a quote for my washing machine , rubber to be replaced. Only after paying the quote, they communicated that the washing machine will be removed from my premises. They collected the washing machine, only with ropes, tied on the back of the bakkie. My washing machine left without marks. I received it back with marks and paint off infront. Ive send the photos to them, communication was that they have ordered the replacement. When i followed up in January, they just said that is how the washing machine was on pick up, and then afterwards said it was rust. They are not trustworthy, and does damage to your appliances, and then makes you feel like you are in the wrong. And then to top it, they expect you to pay half, after they caused the damages.

Very disappointing experience. Total lack of communication and the staff just don't seem to care about the delays. My dishwasher broke 19 Dec, they said R400 call out, which I was happy to pay. Sadly my technician was a driver that unplugged my machine and took it way. This is not a call out fee, this is a collection fee, so be sure to confirm before you agree. From then, I called twice a week, asking for a quote and when they could fix it. Not even an attempt at an excuse, just that they are waiting for the part. Eventually 31st Jan, I was given a quote and that the machine would be delivered on Sat 1st Feb. Needless to say, they were a no show. When I called on Monday, no reason, no apology. When they delivered, they'd squashed the outlet pipe and when I ran it, my kitchen was flooded. I spoke to Louis the owner, I told him that he needs to jack up his staff and their attitude. He offered to fix the outlet pipe, but I was so done with dealing with them, I declined. A month and a half of pure frustration. I cannot believe Midea chose this business as their agents.

B & L Appliances has been on my "goody" list before, but as the year is coming to an end, and many small businesses' are in the balance with Covid. I am singling out B & L Appliances to wish them all the best and may they survive because they really deserve it. I have experienced such wonderful service from them throughout the years I have been in Port Elizabeth, and their honesty in assessing the state of your equipment is paramount in trust. If they tell you you can throw something away, you know it's true. Always willing to help, to drive out to you, to do their utmost best to replace parts if at all possible, to save you buying new. They kept my Defy washing machine going until after 20 years, PE's sea air finally got to it. I salute you Eddie 061 497 7922, and Louis 078 4309 190. Office 041 363 43740 where the friendly receptionist will help you. They are in King Edward Street 29A, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth

B & L Appliances, King Edward Street, Newton Park, Port Elizabeth. What a reliable and friendly company to do business with. There is a company prepared to go the extra mile, and giving a helpful hand. I am an old inhabitant of Newton Park, and every time I have a problem, whether it is my washing machine, fridge or vacuum cleaner, they are there, and I might add, at very reasonable prices. I can recommend them without any hesitation after knowing them for more than five years, and the praise from numerous friends I recommended to them.
