Unhappy customer

The experience was satisfactory, but I was surprised when the waiter informed us that tipping was mandatory. As a customer, I understand the importance of voluntarily tipping service staff. However, being compelled to tip and threatened with restricted exit by bouncers if a tip was not provided significantly detracted from the overall experience. Consequently, I do not anticipate returning to this establishment, primarily due to the service encounter.
