We checked into Belaire Suites Hotel on 22 December. My sons went downstaires to the bar where my 1 son was pick pocketed. He immediately noticed his phone was gone and managed to stop the pick pocketer from leaving the bar. They were approached by someone who informed them that he was the manager and he instructed the hotel security to put my sons out of the hotel, which they did and they let the pick pocketer leave. My sons called me and when i got downstairs the front desk manager on duty Natasha once again asked us to go outside because we were making a scene. I requested for my booking for the following day to be cancelled which Natasha did with attitude. My husband received a call from someone who said he they will discuss what happened over breakfast he'll pay for yet breakfast is included in the rates. ( this never happened) The next morning when we checked out, Bonga appologised and said i will receive a email from the General Manager which has never materialised. We found out that the person oretending to be the manager was a regular customer.What a bad experience.

I made a reservation for visiting Durban with my stay at Belair Suites. I paid my stay using Booking.com with confirmation no 3154556027. I was involved in a car accident and injured, my car was written off. I called Booking.com to cancel my reservation so that they can keep my credit until I’m ready to travel again, I was told that the reservation is cancelled and my money will be returned to me. When I call Booking.com it said the property must refund me, the property said Booking.com must refund me. I don’t know who to run to because I’ve benn sent from pillar to post. I thought the two companies were honest and reputable, but I was wrong. That is service from hell.

Belaire Suites hotel in Durban is rendering a bad service. If you want to use the hotel iron and remote to enter they charge an extra R200 each. The Hotel manager has a bad attitude as well.

I was booked into belaire suites in Durban for four weeks and I had a great experience,the staff is very professional and friendly,the rooms are clean,the hotel is peaceful,thanks for the great experience

<p> </p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century Gothic',sans-serif; font-size: 8pt;"><font color="#000000">I went to Durban for the weekend of 24th March 2016 to the 29th March 2016.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></font><font color="#000000">I had booked at the Belaire Suites Hotel In Durban on the beachfront, where we have been staying recently.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">On the morning of the 25th March 2016, I prepared myself to go downstairs for breakfast.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I left my handbag on the chair in the room, as I did not plan to be too long.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">In my purse I had R720.00 which I counted before I left I had 7 hundred rand notes and a twenty rand note.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">My daughter and I met the Aircon Technician in the lift and he told me he is going to check the aircon in my room.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I told him there was nothing wrong with it.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">He said my son said it was not working.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I reassured him that the aircon was working.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">He still entered my room after this.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">On my return I proceeded to my handbag.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">Checked it, counted the money and saw that R100.00 was missing.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I immediately reported this to the manager.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">A lady by the name of Lee-Anne was sent to check what had happened.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I explained to her what had transpired.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">She asked me if I suspected the same person that she suspected and I explained to her what had happened.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">She asked me which Technician it was and I told her.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">Other staff members told me that there were incidents with the person in question but they feared reprisal and wished to remain anonymous.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I got no feedback from the hotel.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">When I queried the outcome Heather send me an e-mail saying that the polygraph tests showed that their staff that they questioned were not lying.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I am livid and feel that I am being undermined by both Heather and Andreas Schrieter the General Manager of Belaire Suites Hotel.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">They do not value their clients and cover incidents of theft instead of sorting out the people concerned.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">They refuse to refund my money.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">It’s not about the R100.00.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">It’s the principle and also not protecting thieves in your employ.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">In Hospitality especially this is unacceptable.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">I am disgusted as a regular guest of Belaire Suite Hotels and at how petty they are.</font><span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"><font color="#000000"> </font></span><font color="#000000">The do not value their guests at all.</font></span></p> <p> </p> <p style="margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt;
