A compliment to John and his staff who work at Bernina Kloof, Pinecity Sewing Centre. I purchased a Bernina 830 in 1979 and still have all the gadgets. After 45 years of faithful service, I was ready to give up on Berni but loath any new machines with circuit boardsn not to mention prices. In a final attempt to revive the old girl, she was delivered to the shop. Berni is purring like a kitten now. Thank you Ian for servicing and checking-up the old machine. To John and the staff, I recommend anyone to avail of your services. Thank you!

I Went to Bernina Rustenburg with an example of what i needed . To make sure i get the right one the lady first lectured me and then gave me the Bernina version of what i wanted i bought 2 so i don't have to travel 2 times . i tried putting it in at home and it did not fit when i went back the next day i was just told no we don't exchange but let me check for the right one ( They didn't have it). She also asked when am i bringing my machine in for the service. They not only **** and gave me the wrong item but wasted my time and money. They just want money and because of this i will not take my machine to them for its yearly service ( I found a Privately owned company that is now servicing all our machines yearly ) . It will be the same conversation with Bernina if something goes wrong during the servicing . I'll never buy anything from them again . You can't trust them. I get times a tough but to do in your customers this way says a lot about a business.

Never in my life have I encountered such rude, sour and condescending women in my life! The lady who answers the phone has no customer or telephone etiquette whatsoever! On top of that, the lady who assisted with prices on accessories that I requested made it very clear that this was way too much work and effort for her. They clearly hate their job! Bernina please get better ambassadors to represent your amazing brand.

Took my Nina for service to Bernina Paarl. My service was done perfectly. Lady at reception checked my machine in okay, but was very rude when I checked machine out 3 weeks later. Will NOT ever again visit Paarl branch. Will rather look for another dealer.

I am very disappointed in the service of Bernina. About 9 years ago I have bought my first sewing machine. "I told myself I will only buy the Bernina type of machines. I grew up with Bernina and Bernette and in school I work on the machines. I convinced my husband to buy one. My first machine I bought in Carletonville. I can't remember what machine it was. But after my second piece of work the machine give me tension problems. I went back to the store and the lady took it in for a services. It come back and after a while it start again. (I don't do many needle work only to shorten my trousers) Then machine start again. At the end I did sold it to a second hand shop. Then my husband bought me the London 5 and Bernina overlocker. I was so impressed. I will never buy any other brands. But only to my first service of the machine. The lady said she don't have a technician at the moment she will take it to head office. I ask for her and she wrote it on the invoice. The needle threader is broken we need to replace it and when I work on thick material I struggle with the tension. I thought it was correct. But at the end after 3 month that I have started a sewing lesson. The needle threader was not working. That was the first time I have open machine after the service. Then the lady released that the button lever is stuck and her husband that service Brother and Paff machines correct it. And for the first time I started to work on Thick material and the same problem with the tension is back. I will never take my machines again to a Bernina shop. I will also not recommend someone to buy a machine. It is now my 2nd bad experience. I don't have the invoice any more. So I don't have a feet to stand on. But I just want South Africa to know about the Machines. Try some others before you buy.

Bernina Durban North has been absolutely amazing and helpful. I have a Bernina 930 from new, it is 35 years old and still works amazing, I bought and embroidering machine and this will last just as long I am sure.
