I recently made a claim for a leaking geyser which unfortunately after assessment the plumbers said it needs to be replaced and for that I needed to pay R2000,00 excess no problem that was arranged. I called the appointed company Big6 Build and Plumbing. I explained to them that there's no one at home during the week only on weekend and the reception lady (Ivy) said it's fine they will come Saturday.
They came Saturday the 12th October replaced the geyser and they tested and said everything was fine. Since then the geyser doesn't work we don't get hot water, the tap will pour a litre or less of hot water and then cold water and then it stop no water comes out whilst doing that there's air pressure that comes out. I am not sure if the geyser receive water or what. My attempt to reach out to the company in question has been in vain. All of a sudden the plumbers are not available to work on weekends however before I could pay the R2000,00 excess they "can come at your most convenient time" Ivy said they will only be available after 4 weeks (In not so many words that Ivy lady told me to go to hell). Even after I told her this is unacceptable after a day of picking up the problem, when i told her i will have to a complaint she said "its up to you Sir". It's been a week now with no hot water.
We were better of with a leaking geyser atleast we had hot shower and bath. I have small kids and this is worrisome to me. The don't care attitude of the reception or is the secretary it's scary.
