I had sent an email to BLS and their complaints line regarding my experience at the Pretoria visa application centre, but I never received a response. I recently submitted an application for a cultural visa to Spain. As an avid traveler with multiple Schengen visas (Germany twice, Switzerland, Denmark, and now Spain), I am fully aware of the required documentation. Upon arrival, the reception staff were friendly, but the staff member assisting me was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. During the appointment: She rejected my bank statements as they had not been stamped, so I immediately went to Melvyn Shopping Centre to get them stamped. My proof of residence (an SABC invoice) was rejected, and I agreed to provide an alternative. For proof of funds, despite providing two invitation letters confirming that my hosts would cover all costs, the staff member insisted my bank statements were insufficient and loudly claimed I did not have the necessary funds, attempting to discourage me from submitting my application. She told me twice that I should not submit as it would be rejected and that I was wasting my time. Despite her behavior, I submitted my application and paid for after-hours collection and courier services. When I returned with the stamped statements and proof of residence, she then told me that the embassy does not accept bank statements as proof of residence, contradicting previous instructions. I was also informed I would be contacted the following day regarding a denial, which caused unnecessary stress. My hosts contacted the embassy directly, and I was later informed that my visa had been approved and my passport returned to the centre. I waited several days without communication, incurring additional travel costs, before personally collecting my passport. A different staff member confirmed it had been available the previous week, while the original staff member who treated me rudely appeared shocked and retreated into an office. My concerns are: The rude and dismissive behavior was unnecessary. She contradicted official embassy requirements. She attempted to dissuade me from submitting my application, despite the decision not being hers. She falsely claimed I lacked funds, causing embarrassment. I was not notified when my visa was ready, despite paying for after-hours and courier services. I request that BLS acknowledges and investigates this complaint, reimburses the after-hours and courier fees I paid, and implements measures to ensure future applicants are treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect. This incident could have jeopardized an important trip that will have a positive impact on my human rights work in South Africa

I've had about enough with this place. Customer service is up to no good. I've received my passport everything but now that I want a simple embassy invoice and not receipt. I'm currently working abroad and by emailing them is the only way. I've sent over 20 emails and still no response. Quick to take your money but not quick to give what is owed to you. If you work on crew ships they should know by now what you need…

I'm currently working abroad and by emailing them is the only way. I've sent over 20 emails and still no response. Quick to take your money but not quick to give what is owed to you. If you work on crew ships they should know by now what you need…

Great service. I arrived 30 mins early and joined the queue. without having to wait for my time-slot. When I got to the front, the official went through all my documents twice to check I didn't make any mistakes. Much better than TLS! The web-site is ultra bad, but the service at BLS Centurion makes up for it.

So my appointment on the 5th of March at 9:15 went fast but a day later on the 6th of March I get a sms saying my documents are being processed but receive a phone call at 16:00 from the lady that helped me to let me know that my documents have been sent back due to the fact that Northern Cape applicants can no longer apply for a visa in Pretoria. After paying and making travel arrangements to get to the embassy I am disgusted. Now I’m sitting with no passport, no documents and money not refunded and an application that says “processing” so I cannot even make a new booking. I am very disappointed that the embassy can play around with peoples money and time like this.

I would give BLS Spain Centurion 10 out of 5 stars if I could! I went to BLS Centurion on 27 July 2023 for my husband and I to apply for Spanish short stay visas. We were in and out within an hour. Everyone we came into contact with was incredibly friendly, helpful, reassuring, and very professional. Then, of course, the wait started. I tracked my application on their online portal. I saw that the next day (28 July), the embassy received it. By August 17, it was ready for dispatch, and by August 18, it was delivered to my front door without any hassles or trouble. I am incredibly impressed with their fast turnaround, their professional and friendly staff, their lovely offices, and their delivery service. Thank you BLS Centurion for making the visa process easy and stress-free!

I would give BLS Spain Centurion 10 out of 5 stars if I could! I went to BLS Centurion on 27 July 2023 for my husband and I to apply for Spanish short stay visas. We were in and out within an hour. Everyone we came into contact with was incredibly friendly, helpful, reassuring, and very professional. Then, of course, the wait started. I tracked my application on their online portal. I saw that the next day (28 July), the embassy received it. By August 17, it was ready for dispatch, and by August 18, it was delivered to my front door without any hassles or trouble. I am incredibly impressed with their fast turnaround, their professional and friendly staff, their lovely offices, and their delivery service. Thank you BLS Centurion for making the visa process easy and stress-free!

A ****** and *********** organisation. We bought tickets cash and prepaod everything and provided proof and evidence that they needed. Still waited weeks to receive feedback if I'm getting my visa or not. Only got feedback when i went high and low to have them answer the phone to only tell me my visa is denied 2 weeks before my departure date. I guess i am the wrong skin colour. Vinícius Júnior did not lie about Spain's ******

Only got feedback when i went high and low to have them answer the phone to only tell me my visa is denied 2 weeks before my departure date. I guess i am the wrong skin colour. DO NOT USE BLS - terrible service. Passport took 60+ days, we kept getting phone calls to collect and when we advised the caller we paid courier (R200 EACH! for my husband and myself, NOTE: delivery from the same place to the same place) - days would go by with no feedback, when I eventually was worn out I fetched the passport myself only to be rudely informed I would not be getting the refund. Also discovered the passports had been issued three weeks before and were just sitting there (I am one of multiple complaints on this issue) I then noted that my husband and I had different validity dates on the visa's and when I enquired I was again rudely informed to go google the embassy point of contact and ask them, this absolutely annoyed me as we are charged a R226 "service fee" - again EACH! We are each also charged R26 for "sms" - I did not receive a single update from them, my husband received one message on the day the application was submitted. When you arrive at BLS, security inform you that BLS have no parking to offer their customers and straight up parking on the pavement outside the estate is at your own risk for security as well as potential traffic fines.

NOT answering their phones at all, for the past few days now. We paid additional for the premium lounge, but we totally wasted our money. Our applications were only submitted 3 full working days after we were at their offices. Their website is not updated i.t.o. tracking on your application. They also DON'T read or respond to e-mail at all.
