BMW Sovereign Kimberley The worst service ever experianced at a Service centre. My BMW X3 was booked for a service 03 April 2024. Im staying 200 kms from Kimberley , thus I made sure to be there first thing in the morning , so the car can go in first and I can head back home in time. I arrived at the BMW service department 06h50 in the morning. Booked in the Vehicle and waited in the reception Area. At 09h00 the morning I went out again, just to find the car at the exact same place. Asked the service admin if they were done with the Vehicle and the respond was no, they have not started yet. I requested to speak to the Manager to seek for additional support on this ( Take note , I had a 1 year old baby with me ). The workshop Manager arrived and he's respond to my request to prioritise the service of the car and that Im really not happy that the car is not in the setvice centre after 2 Hours , allthough I were first in line, was just that I need to be patient and there is allot of processess to follow before the service can start. After this discussion , and I expressed my unhappiness, the car went in. About 30 Minutes later, the Admin service desk called me and asked where the car were before , because the Sump plug was glued and this is substandard to BMW, and they dont use that colour of glue, - my responce were that the car is only beeing maintained with BMW Kimberley and have a full BMW service history! She responded in a way that it seems Im lying and they will never do such thing. This resulted in a heated argument lateron, till they saw the last service done was with them, but still claimed I had the car at some local workshop ( which is not the case ) Recieved the Car back and the feedback is, they glued the plug back again, but if I pass by Kimberley again , I need to book in the car there so they can replace the Plug/seal assembly I drove back the 200 Kms home with the car, and the next day - found a massive oil leak underneath the car, where there were previously no oil leaks before they serviced it. Now I cannot drive with the car , nearest BMW is 200 + Kms from us and no after hours support. This is highly unacceptable service for such expesive cars , and the accusations they made and claimed that I leid to them! This is not the first time I had such bad service with BMW Kimberley , but all is just getting worse! This is a Top Leading German brand with Terrable aftersales! Now, I need on my own cost get the Vehicle back in Kimberley, with a leaking Engine for their neglegence and poor workmanship.

Firstly we struggle to get the deal done and get the Bakkie in Bloemfontein. After a week and a half we finally got the bakkie. There was still things not right with the bakkie and had to take it to fix it. The salesman and the brand manager said we must pay for the repairs and they will pay the money back the next day, it is now 3 weeks later and still did not receive the refund from the branch. We have the bakkie for 4 weeks now, and the bakkie it still not registered in our name. Really poor service. Every time when we make contact, there is a number of excuses and more promises.

I traded a Ford ecosport1.0 in Jan 2023 to a kia Seltos 1.6 2023. The Ecosport was settled in Jan and the sales agent who is not working there anymore even told me that the car has been settled as of Jan. A few months later I received a call from MFC saying that the account is in erreas. I'm not in kimberley .since Jan, have relocated to Bloem and we only speak via. I have asked and nobody is giving me feedback. All I know is that MFC wants me to make that payment...what is it that I need to me that payment if the car was settled

BMW Kimberley branch is one of the worst dealerships in the BMW South Africa group. I have had quite a few incidents with this dealership in the past and then most recently another incident occurred which they replaced my BMW 320i Msport’s front and rear brake pads including the disks. This dealership is so bad with its after market customer service and it may seem that its even worse if you are of colour, this is so disappointing that we would still have such businesses in operation here in South Africa.
