I went to BOA Beauty Bar in Buitengracht Street for the very first time last week Friday. I usually go to Claremont and they always do an exquisite job, however, due to lack of availability at Claremont, I had to book in town this time around. Firstly, the nail tech (her name was Linda) filed my flesh until it bruised (mind you, this has never happened at Claremont and I've been going there for almost a year now, with a different nail tech doing my nails each time). Secondly - and the main reason I am writing this review - they let me go w/o checking that my gel had dried properly on my hands. I noticed 2 fingers were still sticky when I got home and the following day they chipped. I called on Sunday afternoon and they allowed me to come fix it. It's now only 2 days later (Tues) and 1 of the very same fingers is starting to chip off again. NEVER HAVE I EVER! I am sticking to Claremont next time shame - I am very thanks!

Hello, I did my nails at Boa Bree Street Cape Town at 12:00 on the 25th of Sept and received good service from the team I interacted with but unfortunately less than an hour later one of my nails was loose. It eventually fell off. I let the team know and because I was traveling shortly after then, I could not go to get it fixed. They told me I could go to any branch in Joburg to get it fixed. The next day another one fell off. The closes boa branch to me in Joburg would have cost me R300 return Ubers. I ended up having to go to another nail place around the corner from where I am and they removed the nails that were remaining and loose and gave me a new set. That cost me R290. This is obviously upsetting and speaks to your poor products and or shoddy technique from the nail tech. I would like a refund of my money because this is unacceptable. I have videos and pictures of the nails with timestamps.

Today, I did a royal pedi with gel toes and a soak off at boa in Rondebosch. I had the sweetest nail tech very friend but utterly shocked that you don't have a proper tools for the technician to do a proper pedi. I've recently relocated from jhb to capetown, and it's my first pedi here. Not even the below par nail salons in jhb will you have such an experience. You don't even have a foot file that remove the dead skin or make your heels smooth the metal foot file is a waste. The tools provided do the technician a disservice. The cuticles cut barely removes what it needs to. All the hype for nothing i can assure you that if you provide this service at your new store in jhb you have many issues coming your way.Oh and please don't make it the issue of the tech she was amazing. The products and tools used are terrible. Must say probably the worse nail bar I've been to. I will never recommend to anyone or go back again for the price paid to the products and tools used.

Unfortunatley I was not impressed, the place is so beautifully decorated but the standard of nails does not live up to the aesthetic. Firstly they have a very limited range of colours to choose from and secondly the service is a bit mediocre. I think if you want a fast quick nail service then it is fine but definitly not for a personal and quality service. I suppose you get what you pay for.

Booked an appointment almost a month in advance, on my way to the appointment they phoned me to ask if I can move my appointment to later that day, I said no, I have a range of things to do after my nails. They said okay they understand, came there waited 20 minutes for my nail tech (Polite), only to hear from another nail tech that they fitted someone in who is doing an ombré (more money) so I took my things and left, they receptionist said that she’ll send me a voucher for the inconvenience, up until today no voucher. They can’t even, on every time I’ve been there, do the most BASIC nail art and never have the colour you want. Look at local nail salons instead of supporting people you’re going to be dissatisfied with in the end. This is the Somerset west branch

I have been there a few times for myself, not the greatest but okay.... However the nail tech Colleen and Marvellous was great. I convinced my husband to try them as He generally does his feet every 2-3 weeks and He was extremely dissspointed! He booked for a footlogix Pedi which is more expensive than a normal pedi and they started at 11:20am and he was out in his car at 11:53 of which meant his treatment which should have lasted a minimum of 65min was done in 40min. He asked the****** to remove lose skin (this was requested when making the booking) and she said he will have to come back for another treatment for this. I immediately messaged them to ask how could his pedi have lasted this short time and the poor service delivery 6 sept and to date no response was received... they do not value their clients clearly, I too owned salons in SA and this is not how a business should be run especially when trying to gain loyal customers that will continue bring a business recurring revenue. Lets see if I get a response as it now 11 sept and still no response.
