It was a very busy day there, in holiday season and the staff were trying to cater for several large parties' annual lunches. My sister and I dropped in and found a table. The wait staff were friendly and quickly brought our drinks. A bit longer than normal to take our lunch orders, but not unexpected given the circumstances. I had spare ribs with chips, my sister ordered a hamburger, which she praised highly, and I was very satisfied with my meal. I ordered a second drink (it was a thirsty sort of day), which took rather a long time to arrive. And that is the only negative. If it were possible I would award 4 1/2 stars. Great ambiance, lovely views and very good value for money!

What a lovely Restaurant. Good food great vibe and a fantastic view. You hot the ocean inferno of you and on your left Table mountain. Monday night is burger night. This place is a jewel. The waiters are friendly, and always have a smile. No regrets for all the time we went there. Happy hour between 3 and 6.

I’ve always had great experiences at other Bossa branches, so we came here with high expectations. Sadly, this was hands-down the worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a long time. We waited an absurd amount of time for our food, with no updates, no apology, nothing. And when it finally arrived, it was cold. Not just slightly off, but stone cold. The deep-fried items were especially bad: cold, rubbery, and tasted like they'd been sitting out for hours. The service was a complete disaster. The staff couldn’t have cared less. No one checked in with us. We had to get up and call the manager just to find out where our food was. If we hadn’t, we’d probably still be sitting there waiting. The setting may be beautiful, but even that couldn’t salvage the experience. Zero sense of urgency. Zero accountability. Zero customer care. For the prices they charge, this kind of service and food quality is an absolute joke. We left hungry, frustrated, and completely unimpressed. I won’t be back and honestly, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone, not even as a last resort.

Being a regular patron, I thought Bossa would be a great place for my friends to celebrate their 28th wedding anniversary. Worst decision! The management were so unwilling and cheap to even provide the happy couple with a complimentary dessert or coffee, which they had asked for. And this was inspired of us spending more than R2,100 that evening.

It was a very hot day, we asked to change seating and was accommodated even though the place was full. The person assisting us was friendly enough but while our they were getting our seat ready only one waiter was helping and the others just passed us by and looked at us funny as though we were an inconvenience which made me very uncomfortable to say the least. Train to ur staff to be a bit more friendly and the place could definitely use an aircon and some more umbrellas outside. Other than that the food was amazing.

I've been to the place 3 times this week and had a good experience, up until today. The way the manager treated us was unacceptable. I have been placed by my waiter in a smoking area, according to him. After an hour and a half, the so called manager ask me to leave because it's not an smoking area. I said to her that I've ordered some drinks by a waiter, she said to me I don't have a waiter by that name. There were people right next to my table, standing and smoking but I'm not allowed to smoke at my table. I mean, how must I know where to smoke if I'm not working there? That's why I ask my waiter where can I sit and smoke. If you don't know you're waiters with branded clothes and how to handle you're customers, you are not the right person for that job position. Please come back to me regarding this situation, otherwise I'll take it up with you're head office.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding an incident that occurred during my recent visit to your establishment. As a first-time customer, I looked forward to enjoying your space. However, my experience was deeply marred by the actions of another patron, which forced me to leave without placing an order. Upon entering the restroom, I encountered a woman (a white patron) who began singing the word “coolie,” a deeply offensive and derogatory term historically used as a racial slur against individuals of Indian descent. The intent behind her actions was clearly directed at me, and I was left shocked and disturbed by her behavior. As a resident of KwaZulu-Natal visiting Cape Town for the first time, I had not anticipated experiencing such overtly ****** and disrespectful conduct, particularly in a public and supposedly welcoming environment. The entire experience was troubling and left me feeling uncomfortable, marginalized, and unwelcome. It also brought to mind painful memories of the ************** endured by previous generations during the apartheid era. I would not have expected such behavior to go unchecked in today’s South Africa. I sincerely hope that your establishment values all its customers equally and that incidents like this are not reflective of the culture you promote. I urge you to consider measures to ensure that every patron feels respected and safe within your premises, regardless of background or heritage.

We went to Bossa for the Pizza Special and to do admin as we are in town for business. We arrived at 3:30pm on a Sunday. The restaurant, despite the special was rather quiet as almost every table had reserved signs on them. We watched the Manager turn away no less than 40 tables during the time we were there. The waiters were constantly rushing us to reset our table for a booking for 6:30pm which by the way never arrived. It's shocking how they treated the customers and turned them away to save on not selling the half priced pizza special. It was like a monsoon outside on the balcony and only if you were willing to take an outside table did they entertain anyone without a booking. Other than this mistreatment of customers the food was excellent! Visit at your own peril. The food is good but not that good for the service you get!
