No feedback or communication.
When I researched Burger Huyser web page I was taken in with regards to the large amount of accolades they proudly display on the introduction page. I approached them early December to see if they were willing to take my Malpractice case. At that time the feedback was good and positive , but since then no real progress has been made ,only find out later the person who was allocated to my case had left.

Money wasted, no empathy, no urgency
Stay away from Burgerhuyser Law Firm! They have no empathy, no edge of emergency. I feel like my case was taken for granted. Things have escalated from better to worse because they just sat and did nothing then writing correspondence with no follow up. I paid up for a service for a reason, to let things be handled while I deal with other issues but what a waste of money I won't get back. I'm still fuming about my experience with them. Zero empathy, no urgency, and a total lack of communication. I paid for a service, but got nothing in return. No follow-ups, no progress, just empty correspondence. Definitely not a happy client. From November till now, nothing was done. I had to fight for myself every step of the way. The only bright spot was the receptionist - super warm and lovely 🙏. If you've got an emergency, don't bother calling them. They'll only waste your time and money. 👎 Would NOT recommend."

Why not tske final step giving up on last hooe
Gone thru over two yesrs with then one muck up after another then after it gets to sheriff to attach with no results instead of taking tge last step ro financial investiigatiion which im told is short period where they night recouo costs they close the file not happy.

Exceptional Attorney !!
I went to Burger Huyser after a con artist stole my life savings. It was quite traumatic. There was not much progress until Maryke du Toit was given my file. She made things happen. She is clearly competent and knows what she is doing. She took my call even when she was off sick at home. She goes over and above the call of duty. She did not have my file in front of her being sick at home but she remembered every step she was taking and gave me an amazing progress report. She is very professional. Her time estimates for each stage is spot on. She is very proactive and does not waste time moving on to the next step. I cant wait to see how she corners this career ******** con artist. Maryke is a true asset to Burger Huyser attorneys.

Judgement through burger huyser attorney
I have a judgement because of Burger Huyser attorney I paid my bill in 2022 Now I'm sitting with a judgement which I can't do anything I called Burger Huyser attorney they sent me E left right and centre but the reception gave me an email address with I don't get responses from I'm really trying to get my name clean but because of Burger Huyser attorney I'm stuck which I think is unfair Is this company close down or what.

*********** attorneys, lack of transparency with costs, Nightmare!
I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this law firm, particularly from the attorney assigned to me, Wadzanai. She appeared unfami**** with several key aspects of labour law and was unable to offer proper advice during my conciliation process. As someone going through conciliation for the first time, I expected competent guidance—instead, I had to seek external legal advice at an additional cost just to understand my rights and next steps. What’s most frustrating is that I paid R4,000 for her to review my documents and evidence, with the expectation that she would provide a clear summary and key defence points. This was never delivered, and I honestly doubt whether she thoroughly reviewed the materials at all. To make matters worse, after I communicated my decision to no longer proceed with her representation—due to lack of confidence in her ability to handle my arbitration—she blocked me without any further explanation or closure. I would not recommend this law firm to anyone. Their marketing and website may seem appealing, but the actual legal service I received was unprofessional and unhelpful. Fortunately, I have since found a more competent labour law firm to support my case.

Grossly appalling mediocre service & unprofessional!
Grossly Appalling service! 6 full months, they did absolutely nothing for me, they only wrote X2 lousy letters and demanded R20 092,83 for their mediocre Sandton office attorneys who are full of excuses to get even the simplest thing done. For my divorce, I first dealt with one arrogant loud mouth lady who knows no client confidentiality, dops her client names and their personal drama on strangers. She failed to do anything, I was moved to another lady, a so called ‘head of department’ what an over thinker, no action, only too many promises, deliberately vanished on me several times, lie, says work is done but fails to show it.Highly ***********, lazy only all talk no action attorneys. They caused me so much stress, so many sleepless nights by ensuring they moved nothing at all-6 full months! Anything they got to do, was cause I had to push them. They’ll sign you up, never do any tangible work and bill you like mad, then the whole management will back them up instead of fixing the rot. They sent me HR to write me long emails justifying all the unprofessionalism instead of taking accountability and bettering their offerings to clients. Do not pour your money down this drain!
