I traveled all the way from Durban to them to enquire about the wedding venue the manager made us wait over an hour before helping us then lied to us saying they dont do weddings at pushes us on to another venue saying that the venue is still part of them she took our details and told us they will call us in the week I waited 2 weeks no one called I called them the reception said the manager will call us and again they did not for 2week my wife called again and the said they do do wedding and the manager lied to us

Refused to give refund after my father in laws passing led to us having to cancel our trip. They said I must change the dates but they need Booking.com to tell them to change the dates. But booking.com said I must change the date as that's what Bushmans Neck said. So I was sent from pillar to post till lockdown. To date no one has bothered to resolve my query now that they are open. No one responds to my emails. Yet I paid fully for the accommodation. I even sent them my father in laws death certificate as they said they require it to change my dates. To date I'm still waiting!! I reminded them since I can see they are now open after lockdown. And no one responded!

This resort is a nice place but management are not accountable. I had booked a spa through their agents First Resort and called before going there to find out how to book. The receptionist told me to come to the resort and I can speak to the people at the spa. When I got there they tell me the spa was fully booked the entire weekend. the Manager Charmaine was suppose to follow up for my refund but as you can see form my e-mails below she has not replied to date. Hi Cleopatra Please can you get a member of management to contact me regarding this refund. Hi Charmaine Please can you give me Bushmansnek’s Managers Name, direct line and e-mail. I would like to lodge a formal complaint for the manner in which this entire refund request is being handled. Lets start with the nice stuff: views are amazing and staff is very friendly. From the moment we arrived things went wrong. Our booking was mixed up and we got a hotel room instead of a self catering unit as booked, reception has no idea reg availability for it runs via a booking portal, 1 hr later and having to pay double we were allocated a rustic cabin. Planks were hanging off the ceiling, carpets were totally burned, nails were sticking out on the deck, curtains had broken off hooks, kitchen cupboards were rotten, TV cabinet falling apart, blind in bedroom can only be half opened... We had booked in for dinner at the restaurant at the hotel, there were 5 tables with patrons and 3 tables sent their food back, including us. I never had such overcooked pasta in my life and my partners "ribs" was 3 chunks of pure fat. No sauces, no salad dressing etc. When we spoke to the food and beverage manager she told us that this is a common complaint and voided our food (which we didnt eat anyway) tunreed out she is also working with the Manager of the Hotel so we told her the issues with the cabin. Again she was quite aware that our maintenance and complaints are very common and she will see what she can sort out. In the morning there were people hammering on the deck, the Tv cabinet and the planks back into the ceiling and that was about it. I wont even go into not having WIFI (which they know there is no reception at the cabins yet they advertise it anyway and give you a wifi password) or the hairdryer (which we then got from reception after assuring them 3 times that it is surely not in the wardrobe). In the morning we wanted to make use of the activities which the folder in our cabin told us to inquire at the reception, the gentleman was very friendly, but clueless (with his neatly ironed shirt spotting 2 big tears on his arm) , and was about to send us on a hiking trail with our bycicles. Also no archery (once again as they advertise on their webpage) and their entertainment room leaves much to be desired (once again in terms of upkeep and maintenance). If it wouldnt have been for the really long and rocky dirt road and the scenery we would have considered to leave. It is a real pitty for there is sure such potential but staff doesnt seem to be trained and maintenance is extremely poor. We wont be back.

<p>This is the most amazing resort. The accommodation is really comfortable and the attention to detail with the decor gives you the feeling of home away from home .The setting of the resort is beautiful and tranquil. The daily activities on offer is really fun and extremely well organised, never a dull moment and lots to look forward to everyday. They also have the most amazing rock swimming pool, the best I have ever seen, also the first resort that I've been to that has cold and warm rock pools to enjoy. The hospitality of the management and staff were outstanding, and the meals were tasty with a great variety of good food that is really good value for money.</p> <p>If you haven't visited the resort as yet, I will recommend that you do make a plan to visit this awesome resort soon! Spent a fantastic Week at Bushman's Nek resort. Incredibly well trained and friendly staff, excellent facilities and just so well run overall. Will definitely be returning to this gem in the near future.
