Disappointed with the outcome of cake
I ordered a simple vanilla cake with light blue icing and a white fondant '21' for my daughter's 21st birthday. However, upon collection, the cake was incorrectly iced in light green, the number '21' was an amber color, and the ribbons were overly thick and mismatched. The final product was significantly different from what I had requested. The baker rectified the issue and re-iced the cake; however, the icing began to collapse shortly after collection. I am extremely disappointed with the overall quality and presentation of the cake, and I would not recommend this bakery to anyone.

Caked in Africa - Unprofessional and disgusting
If there was an option to rate them 0 stars, it’s what they deserve. I placed an order via Uber eats for a doughnut and pie. Order was accepted. An hour later the driver tells me he has to cancel because the restaurant says they don’t have the items in stock. They are so unprofessional and offer no explanation or apology when I called to find out why was my order accepted if they don’t have the items. And furthermore, make me wait an hour when I could’ve ordered from somewhere else.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY! YOU WILL GO TO THIS BAKERY AND SHOW THEM YOUR DESIGN, THEY AGREE AND PROMISE TO DELIVER EXACT CAKE. ONLY TO REALIZE UPON PICK UP ITS ACTUALLY A SCAM! My son turned 1 years old on the 16th October. I went to this establishment an hour before his first birthday party was supposed to start only to find the cake that I ordered and paid R1500 for is a complete mess up and standing skew. I had absolutely no other choice but to take this cake as my son had to have a cake! I left this store crying, I had to cough up R1500 only to find a cake that is falling apart, looked messy and looked as if it was made by a grade 4 student. NO REMORSE, SYMPATHY OR APOLOGY OFFERED BY STAFF, THE WORST CUSTOMER EVER! Please please don’t waste your time and money, these people make promises knowing they not equip to bake and design as promised!

I can recommended this bakery with confidence. Their baked goods are top class. They make stunning birthday cakes. I just love their chocolate and vanilla cakes.
Great experience, the staff are very nice people willing to help...... Their cakes are amazing too. thank you much for the beautiful Angry Birds cake made for my hubbie's birthday! Our guests could not stop raving about the tasty cake! So rich, we had to go on diet the very next day!

Best birthday cake ever
What an amazing bakery, what an amazing experience. The staff at Caked in Africa made my son's birthday super duper special. They created a magnificent Lion King cake - exactly what he wanted. The joy in his and his friends faces when they saw the cake was something I will hold in my heart forever. What a beautiful, delicious cake. Thank you to all the staff at Caked in Africa - you will definitely see us for all future celebrations.

Best birthday cake ever
What an amazing bakery, what an amazing experience. The staff at Caked in Africa made my son's birthday super duper special. They created a magnificent Lion King cake - exactly what he wanted. The joy in his and his friends faces when they saw the cake was something I will hold in my heart forever. What a beautiful, delicious cake. Burnt horrible Cake!
I paid R650 for my daughters birthday cake to later learn on the day when I cut it that it was burnt! I visited the store to lay a complaint I was first offered a small Cake which I do not need and declined then reimbursed with a pathetic R100, silence and horrible customer service as a cherry ontop! When I asked the lady if the R100 is all I am getting she responded by saying there's nothing more they can do about this matter! They are clearly not clued up with the treat the customer fairly policy nor the CPA as a whole I am disgusted!!!!!!!
