I went to Carmatrix with to test and repair my vehicle's airconditioner. I received a quotation and accepted the quote to replace the condencer and pulley in amount of R16k. I received a limited warrenty of 3 months. Well within a month the airconditioner did not work. I took it back and the informed me that it will cost me another 18k as they have to replace the compressor. I said no thank you.

<div>I took my vehicle in to get an estimate for repairs to the aircon on my Ford Figo, which was not working. Upon arrival I was asked to complete a form with my details and the details of my vehicle and "sign and date" at the bottom. A few hours I get a call to say that the repairs will cost in excess of R16000. I told the guy I will rather drive with my windows open than pay that much for aircon repairs. I go and collect my vehicle and told that I need to pay R750 for "diagnostics". Now the CPA of 2008 determines that you cannot charge for a quote, estimate or diagnostics UNLESS AGREED TO. So I get shown the form that I signed earlier in the day, and in the smallest print possible, there is a clause that I agree to pay R750 for diagnostics. To emphasis: I am more annoyed with myself for not reading the fine print, but is there not an obligation on the part of the service provider to draw my attention to he clause before I sign the document?</div>

I hade 4 MX3 contracts with Matrix for a few years. As long as I never expected anything and never contacted them all was fine. In January one of my vehicles was totaled and I canceled the MX3 subscription for that vehicle. It is now July and I am still invoiced for all 4 MX3's, the only thing that changed was that the vehicle I canceled are low listed as Cash rather than rental and the premium has actually went up for this one unit from R233 to R252. I have send several emails and got reference numbers for it, I have also spent more that 2 hrs on phone calls to try and resolve the problem. No one from Matrix ever reply to an email or phone call they owe me more than R2,000 for over invoicing and it still increase every month.

i bought a new car a few years ago and fitted a beame or carmatrix tracking device to it so that it could be traced in case of theft, The original contract was cheap and for 2 years. When the contract expired they started phoning me to extend the contract. One especially rude person phoned me and said that the contract price will be now 100% more than the original price. I flatly refused and started looking for a new supplier. I found one and then cancelled the Beame contract. It is now 2 months later and they keep on sending through a debit order every month to my bank. I do have reference numbers where I cancelled the contract but beame keep on regardless. I think that they are acting without integrity. I removed the tracking devise and also remove its batteries so that it is no longer operational. Please can somebody just do something to get these bloodsucking ticks of my back.

So, after my previous complaint, Carmatrix (Deon) did not call and apologize, or try to sort anything. Nope. He decided to take legal action! Yup, his attorney (prokureuer?) sent me a letter threatening to sue me for slander if I do not retract everything I've said, and apologize publicly. I enlisted the assistance of an attorney, and the matter did not go any further. I accepted that the nonsense was now over and done with, but no...upon having no joy from the attempt to sue me/get me to retract, this company went ahead and searched for my business (bear in mind, he's NEVER contacted me or my business or transacted/communicated with it in any way - the only contact we've ever had is when I - in my private person - called him for advice and a quote), and then he posted inappropriate spam there, and also gave the business a bad rating. AGAIN - HE HAS NEVER DONE BUSINESS OR CONTACTED MY COMPANY! Yet, he first tried to sue me to get the negative rating removed, and then stooped to the level of spamming my business. I removed the spam and reported it as hate speech and as spam, so his accounts will probably be closed or warnings issued, but, jaaaa....does the term low-life apply?
