BE WARNED, THIS IS A SHADY ONLINE SHOP!!! No delivery after nearly two months. On December 1st, I paid Techtrek for twenty boxes of Rotatrim A4 printer paper. I received the order confirmation right away, but I never heard back from them. This paper is readily available, so there’s no excuse for the delay. I called them many times—most went unanswered, and when they did pick up, I was hung up on or transferred to dead ends. When I occasionally manage to reach someone, they promise delivery within two business days. From what I read, this seems to be their usual tactic, and sure enough, a week later, the status would still be “Prepared For Dispatch.” I eventually ordered from another company, which delivered the next day. After reviewing online, I mostly found reviews with the same complaint: orders never arrive, describing Techtrek as a shady business that takes your money without delivering. I also recommend checking their reviews on other sites before ordering. You’ll mostly see 1-star ratings accusing them of misconduct, and, suspiciously, a handful of glowing 5-star reviews, likely from friends or paid reviewers. If you still decide to use them after reading this, don’t be surprised if your money goes straight down the drain.
This review is for Tech Trek, Techtrek, or Techtrek.store. Please be aware that this is a *****ULENT company. Their online shop looks very appealing and professional, but don’t be deceived. If you visit their listed address, you will find that they do not exist. After you pay for your order, you may receive an order confirmation, but that is likely to be the last communication you have with them. They rarely answer phone calls, do not respond to their online chat, and often ignore emails. Any payment made to them should be considered money lost. I placed an order two months ago, and despite all their promises, I still have not received it, nor have I been able to get a refund. I ultimately had to spend another R10,000 to place my order elsewhere. Additionally, check their Trustpilot reviews; no customers have received their orders. They all have one-star ratings, claiming that this company is a ****. If you keep dealing with them after reading this review, you'll only have yourself to blame for wasting your money.
I have ordered from them 3 times, Its just a waste of time. After every order I receive an order confirmation with remarks."EFT Bank Transfer Payment. Hi we're are verifying your order items stock is available in Superbuy warehouse ready to be shipped. We will notify you via email to make payment via EFT into our bank account. Superbuy warehouse - Closed Weekends - Closed Public Holidays - Stock will be verified during working hours Mon - Fri 08H00-16H30" I will never hear from them again and a few days later they will mark my order as CANCELLED. At least they don't take my money but what a waste of time spending hours going through their catalog to order if they don't follow through. A month later I need to find the products else ware. My order history with them. #000016786 6/19/20 R1,424.50 Canceled #000016348 5/8/20 R943.00 Canceled #000016273 4/29/20 R1,447.00 Canceled
This review is on Discovery Medical chronic illness cover. The cover for chronic medication has been R200 for the last two years and are now reduced to R170 for 2020. This means that for 2018 the cover was 18% more than what it is in 2020, at the same time premiums has increased by more than 20% over the same period. One can calculate that compared to the Discovery's premiums, their chronicle cover has decreased by 40% over three years. With rising medical costs, this is some indication of what Discovery think about their member's needs. I suggest anyone considering a medical aid that cares about the welfare of their members, Discovery is not for you as they have proven before they are only seeking profit.
I hade 4 MX3 contracts with Matrix for a few years. As long as I never expected anything and never contacted them all was fine. In January one of my vehicles was totaled and I canceled the MX3 subscription for that vehicle. It is now July and I am still invoiced for all 4 MX3's, the only thing that changed was that the vehicle I canceled are low listed as Cash rather than rental and the premium has actually went up for this one unit from R233 to R252. I have send several emails and got reference numbers for it, I have also spent more that 2 hrs on phone calls to try and resolve the problem. No one from Matrix ever reply to an email or phone call they owe me more than R2,000 for over invoicing and it still increase every month.
Useless customer service, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM I ordered parts to the value of R1370 from TECHNOPRO on Friday 16 February at 16:12. The next day (Saturday) I realized I've double ordered a plastic jig and requested them to cancel the one part and refund me R545 which is about 39% the value of my order. This was about 6 business hours after i've placed the order and one would think they would be satisfied with the other 61% of the order still in place. Their return policy state "You can return the purchased items within 7 days of receipt (less shipping charges)" As I will collect and did not yet do so there should be no shipping charges, however Technopro then insisted they will charge me a 20% cancellation fee and only refund 80% of the purchase price. At this point I was busy with a new order from them to the value of >R1000, I obviously canceled the order before payment and got it somewhere else. When I told them this 20% cancellation fee is not acceptable and they insisted that they had costs to process the order and their policy state they will charge a 20% cancellation fee. When I asked them for proof of this cost they did not respond. So what am I to do, collect the item, which I have not yet done, and then return it under their return policy which state they will only deduct shipping costs, which are zero as I collected my order from their office? I will not waste my time and money further on this company. Their policies is inconsistent and in contradict itself. I don't think they even looked at the consumer act atall when they draw up their conditions. Clearly they do not care about customer satisfaction and will do anything to make a quick buck. I hope I never have any warranty claims with the products I purchased from them as I might end up paying them to take it back. If you want to purchase, rather consider a reputable company that are willing to assist their customers and don't try to get money from you by some grey means.
Shipping from Hongkong to Operations at Aramex SA took 4 days 14 to 18 December 2018. Delivery to me should have taken 2 more days, however for 23 days from 18 December to 10 January the package were stuck at operations without any reason or explanation. I called Aramex at least 10x and if I were lucky enough to have the call answered I got transferred to an different division which does not answer until the call gets dropped, maybe by someone disconnecting it. The last 2 calls got me listening to music and automated voice messages for around 10 min without being answered. Logging complaints and requests via the Aramax app , for Aramex to contact me were fruitless, emails sent were never answered or ignored. Aramex are no better than the Post office or Telkom when it come to customer service, if a parcel goes through the system as it is supposed to things are OK but boy..., are you in trouble it a package get stuck somewhere in their system and you need to get contact them for answers.
