I ordered Brake Pads for my BMW C1 as BMW do not work on old models anymore I have to do it myself. They told me the Brake pads had arrived and when I got there to collect them they has sold them. They said they would order more for me and deliver them that afternoon but they never did. On the Monday morning I contacted them and they said they would deliver in the morning. the Morning passed and still nothing so I had to drive to BMW Cedar and collect them myself. Very poor service for BMW. I am now glad I never purchased another BMW and will look a the KTM's.

Took my car to BMW Cedar to fix the automatic cargo cover. After 3 days they told us they cannot fix because the car tracking unit is on their way and we need to get out tracking company to remove then reinstall as they were not allowed to touch it. When the tracking company got there, they found that BMW had already taken out the tracking unit. Then they tell me after a week that they have ordered the part and will commence with replacing, this is after they told me they had already ordered the unit and was just waiting for the tracking company. Mind you I am the one who kept calling them everyday for update on progress as they were not updating me. Eventually after two weeks of back and forth, i got the car back. When I check the tracking unit, it keeps giving me the wrong location; indicating that that car is still at BMW. Car tracking company tried to reboot the unit and failed. Eventually they sent a technician to my house to look at the unit thinking it might be faulty. When the tracking guy arrived, he could not find the unit anywhere in the car, he also explained that when he arrived at BMW they had already taken out the unit themselves (BMW). Again, endless calls to BMW to find out where the unit was, whole time i am being told they never touched the unit as they are not allowed to. At that time the tracking app is showing that the car is still at BMW and they are not returning my calls. Not forgetting the text messages I am now receiving offering to purchase my car. After endless calls and not getting feedback, I eventually drive to BMW, when I arrived I was told they are in meetings and cannot attend to me, mind you this is now two weeks later. I demanded attention and told them I was not going to leave without the unit cos even the app shows that the car tracking unit is there. Long story short, BMW took out the unit themselves and kept it. Whole time, the tracking unit was in their possession.

Some time during the end of January 2025 I viewed a 2017 BMW 320i from BMW Fourways. The vehicle was in a terrible condition and had many dents and scratches on it. I was advised by the sales person ("Leonora") that the vehicle was not checked as yet and should not be on the floor. Leonora further advised that the vehicle would need to undergo several quality checks before BMW would allow the vehicle to be sold. According to Leonora, BMW would not allow a vehicle which failed to meet certain standards to be sold by them. Leonora contacted me he following week to advise that the vehicle was in good order aside from some minor things which would be attended to. She advised that the dents and scratches were repaired, the rims were buckled and were repaired and the water pump was replaced. On 7 February 2025 i purchaed and took devlivery of the vehicle. Within 20 mins of driving the vehicle we noticed that the windscreen was chipped and immediately sent Leonora a message. Her response was that the vhips were repaired and that BMW will not replace the windscreen. In less tha ln a week of having the vehicle, the windscreen cracked and the rear bumper (which was allegedly repaired ) began to turn yellow. After much frustration and escalation to the sales manager BMW agreed to replace the windscreen and repair the bumper. On 28 March 2025 I received and Engine oil level notification. I advised Leonora and her response was that the vehicle just needs oil. It was not a warning and that I should just top up with 1 litre of oil. On 9 April 2025 I received a Coolant level warning. Leonora was made aware of this and she advised that coolant level is not a problem and that I should just top the coolant, which I had then done. On 14 April 2025 and After much frustration and escalation to BMW customer service, BMW Fourways advised that they would inspect the vehicle and that I should arrange to bring the vehicle in to them. I advised Juanita (who is the sales manager) telephonically that I am short staffed and would not be able to bring the vehicle in until I have sufficient staff capacity. On 25 April 2025 at approximately 8:05 am I again received a Coolant level warning. Again I notified Leonora and this time she acknowledged that there must be a leak. She requested that I bring the vehicle in to BMW Fourways. I again advised her that I was not able to bring the vehicle in and requested that BMW arrange collection of the vehicle. Coolant was again topped up. On 25 April 2025 at approximately 12:43 pm I once again received a Coolant level warning. Again Lenora was notified and I once again requested that they collect the vehicle which they refused to do. I did advise her that I will hold BMW responsible for any damage that may occur due to me using the vehicle. 25 April 2025 at approximately 17:19, Murpheys Law, I received the engine overheated warning. I immediately stopped the vehicle and sent Leonora a WhatsApp message. This time I did not even get the decency of a response. I was stuck on the side of the road. We had to contact our insurance to arrange a towing service. The tow truck driver who was dispatched contacted me to advise that he is unable to come through without police or security present as the vicinity is a place of danger. He advised that several people were being ****** in that area and that a shooting took place there the previous week in which his colleague and a customer of theirs was injured. A man even stopped to tell me to jump in my car and lock the doors. At this point I was not prepared to risk my life and safety and drove the vehicle home after topping up water. The vehicle has not been driven since then. I contacted BMW on 29 April 2025 to advise them of the situation and requested that they arrange for the vehicle to be towed to them. I advised them that I no longer want the vehicle and requested that they refund me in terms of Section 56 of the CPA as the vehicle is not suitable for purpose, not in good working order nor is it free from any defects. Furthermore, the vehicle was not usable and durable for a reasonable period of time. The dealer principle refused to arrange collection of the vehicle and simply stated that they will not cover the cost of towing or repairs as I did not bring the vehicle to them after the 14th April 2025 and further because i drove the vehcle again. They advised that they are only willing to discount the repair cost. I escalatd the issue to BMW South Africa and they simply agreed with BMW Fourways response and closed the case without even carrying out a full investigation. The fact that the water pump was replaced prior to me purchasing the vehicle is evident that there was an issue, however, the issue was not disclosed to me. I requested information from BMW South Africa as to why the water pump was replaced prior to me purchasing the vehicle and they simply responded by saying the case is closed and no further information will be provided. At no point was I instructed not to drive the vehicle by any of BMW's staff and in fact they requested that I drive the vehicle to them in order for them to inspect the vehicle despite my continuous request that they arrange collection of the vehicle. Leonora in fact requested that I bring the vehicle to them on Tuesday, 29 April 2025. I have had continuous issues with this vehicle from date of purchase and it has not even been 3 months since I have taken collection of the vehicle. Each time I had an issue I had to escalate and fight with BMW staff to get any assistance and every notification which I received was brushed off by them. I notified them on numerous occasions that this vehicle was not fit for purpose as I drive it daily to and from work and with my family. I was not notified of these defects and would not have purchased this vehicle had I been notified of these issues. It is terribly unfair and ********* of BMW to simply state that they will not cover the cost of the towing and repairs as I requested that the vehicle be collected on numerous occasions before it overheated! BMW refused to collect the vehicle and insisted that I DRIVE the vehicle to them. BMW has failed to collect the vehicle and/or take responsibility for any or the defects from day 1.

I took in my car at Fourways bmw in the morning for a door lock replacement and I was promised to be updated on the status of the repairs and the so called diagnosis and that did not happen until the next day when I was told that they will only be diagnosing the car then in the morning of the 2nd day, subsequently I was quoted and accepted the quote therefore giving them permission to fix the car. I was then shocked by them telling me that they will charge an extra fee for doing the diagnosis.. Why charge me for the diagnosis of something which I told them was a problem in the first place? Why charge me the diagnosis fee when I still agreed for them to fix the car? I would justify the so called diagnosis fees if I had refused them to fix the car.... Their attitude is just a ****. It's just pure *******.

This is the worst BMW dealership I have dealt with? We traded in two immaculate cars for two demos models in December. My wife and I dealt with 2 different people. The salesman I dealt with was promising and did everything I asked of ( I was happy even thought the dealer never gave me a gift for buying a 1. 6 million car, note first bmw I bought and got nothing), however with my wife's deal it was a total nightmare. Almost no follow up from the sales lady, we don't ask we dont get feedback kind of service. We were told that her car is a factory demo. When the car arrived, we went and saw it and we were not 100% happy. The sales lady told us dont stess its dirty from the factory and after the car is prepped and cleaned it will look like new. Now been a bmw dealers and after buying several BMW cars , we trusted what she said. On collection of the cars(both on same day), we were shock on how they looked. Oily in the interior, outside not cleaned, scratches not fixed etc. Although my car was not 100% , my wife on the other hand was looking like a 5 year old car, oil interior from what they used, ambient lighting not lighting up properly, scratches on interior parts which they promised they will fix, seats with an oily finish etc. The car was certainly not looking like a demo. HER CAR WAS LIKE NEW COMPARED TO THIS AND SHE REFUSED TO TAKE IT OFF THE FLOOR. After ALOT OF CONVINCING we took the car and was told to bring it back. A day or 2 later the car went back and actually came back looking worst and the dealer excuse was that they have an issue with the car wash company. How is this even possible. How does BMW, yes a bmw dealer allow their cash wash company to use products that are oil and stain. Certainly, this is not a bmw approved product. When they collected the car they also gave us feedback that the abient lighting will be changed and they ordered the parts. Beside not been very bright, there are spots of damage all over. Why tell us they order parts and now tell us a further inspection needs to take place, We brought all of these issues from day one which show they themselves have a very low standard when they checking cars. to make matter worst, I got my number plates two week later and my wife one never came the same time yet we bought the cars on the same day. Again we had to keep following up. The dealer agreed that we take the one car for an auto valet and they will pay for it, but insisted we pay for it and they will refund us. So another part were we must run around and spend even more money. Its shocking that a bmw dealer cannot clean a car properly . The car is under motor plan and parts not up to standard should have been repaired or replaced before the car arrived at the dealer or by the dealer. We spent 3 million rand at this dealer and another 3 million in the past and this is how the treat us as customers. Its shocking to say the least and they refuse to send us the dealer principle number and kepe avoiding us when we ask. We also asked them in writing what is the policy on returning the car and that part was also ignore.

Purchased a 1997 BMW Z3 from Cedar Isle Auto at the end of October. Had so much confidence in doing this, as it was coming from BMW Used Cars and I was told that the car was checked and all repairs were done. On test driving and checking the car, I found the boot mat was wet. When I asked the sales person about it, he assured me that there were no leaks, and told me it was the car wash people being careless. 1 week after collecting the car, it rained and water was in the boot. Now, after collecting the car, I had to take it to 1 of their repair centres to get it sorted. This was kept for over a week and only returned after I started complaining. While the car was being taken there, we found that the Right Side Front tyre was touching the wheel guard. When we asked them to sort this out, The BMW Repair centre said that they don't have the equipment to check this. When the car left the Autobahn Repair Center, it was taken to the Autobahn dealership workshop, 2 kms away. The car sat there for another 2 days, and they did nothing with it. These are all branches of Cedar Isle. We were forced to get the car back to Cedar Isle, if we wanted it repaired. On taking the car there, it was found, within 30 minutes, that there were problems with the front suspension. So after more than a week and between 2 BMW workshops, they could not find the problem??? No, they could, but the sheer arrogance that they had resulted in them not even looking for the problem. The car was taken to back to Cedar Isle Auto and left there for repairs. Prior to it going back, I found the following problems on a car that should have been inspected by BMW properly and that had just passed COR: 1. Left headlight loose and park light not working 2.Left rear park light not working - loose connections 3. The repair that the ARC did on the boot rubber was a complete waste of time, as they cut the rubber and now there is a 5cm gap on the on side, where water gets in. I am now told that this will take about a month to get to the dealership and the car would have to go back, yet again. 4. Passenger door missing the rubber channel between the door pad and window. 5. Centre console cover completely off the hinges. They repaired this before I collected the car, but did such a shoddy job that it fell off again within a few days. All this over and above the suspension issues. I was also told that the exhaust and fuel filter had fresh scratches on it, yet nobody can tell me how this happened and nothing is being done about this either. Each time that the vehicle went in, I gave them the opportunity to work on the car for a few days, before I requested feedback, and every time that I did this, I get told, its being worked on. As the owner, I had no idea what they were working on, if they found other issues, if they were waiting for spares, if my car is just parked there with nothing happening, if they are part way through the repairs, or anything that you would expect to get in terms of information from any dealership holding your vehicle. The common attitude from Cedar Isle, Autobahn ARC, Autobahn Isando, is complete and utter arrogance in the way they treated me as a customer and how they are handling the repairs to my car. I took deliver on 1st November 2022 and I had the car in my position for a total 12 days and BMW have had it for 16 days and counting, from 8th to 16th November and then again from 22nd November to current, and it still has to go back because they damaged a rubber seal, instead of doing a proper repair. This franchise to change their slogan from Sheer Driving Pleasure to Sheer Arrogance! I have always dealt with Auto Alpina Boksburg for my new BMWs and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that they are 1000 times better in every way and the staff from this Cedar Isle/Autobahn Group should spend some time with them to learn a thing or two.

Had the most worst experience at this franchise taking my car in for a service. We have been using them from 2019. The car needed a minor service. So we usually pay with an eft and I asked the service consultant if this was ok and he said yes as long as I send through a pop back. At 3pm they call to say they will not be releasing my car bcos the money is not in their account and this is a company policy. They then ask me to come in and pay again with my card and assure me that they are reputable and will refund me etc. it was never pointed out that if an instant payment was not done that I would not get my car back at all. My husband has previously paid them via an eft for more than R10k and we had no issues last year. They now have changed their policy and do not make us aware of same. They also refuse to contact the bank to verify the payment.
