Dear Spar Customer Service, I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your Spar New Germany branch on 29 July 2025 at approximately 6:50 AM. I attempted to purchase Amajoya Soft Liquorice sweets, which were clearly marked on the shelf at R29.99. However, at the till, the price scanned as R31.99. The cashier called the floor supervisor, Sanele, who went to verify the price and confirmed it was indeed R29.99. Despite this, Sanele and the cashier exchanged words about the difficulty of changing the price at the till. Sanele then returned to the aisle and brought back a barcode, which now reflected a price of R34.99. When I questioned this sudden change, he simply stated that the price was R34.99. I pointed out that he had just confirmed the price as R29.99 moments earlier. When I returned to the aisle to retrieve the price tag, I found it had been removed—presumably by Sanele. I found this behavior to be dishonest and unprofessional, and I was left feeling misled and disrespected as a customer. I request that this matter be investigated and that appropriate action be taken to ensure transparency and integrity in your pricing practices. I was so hurt and disappointed on Saturday evening when I went to Chelsea Spar in New Germany, within 5 minutes in the shop my son started complaining about his tummy, I could see that my child was in some kind of pain and quickly went and asked the security gentlemen to use the bathroom who then told me to ask the manager, at that time my son was getting worse. I went and asked the manager on duty and he flatly told me "the toilet is not for people like you, its for my staff". I told him I just want the toilet for my sick son (8yrs) and he just said "try next door". I had to drive home and unfortunately my son could not hold himself any longer and messed himself. We've been using this store from when my babies were two, now they 8 and we had to part ways with the store upon realizing that the management does not care about people.

I just had a bad experience with Ms. Prashni in New Germany Spar. The lady has a nerve to call me a Kafir. Thank you a lot to who so ever hired a ****** racist to manage a shop a enjoyed shopping at. I will no longer be shopping there as I will not tolerate seeing her ever in my life. I understand that I'm not to sell at Chelsea but being discriminated against is not garbage. To hell with Spar and who ever does the hiring for them. How do you hire an unequipped uneducated and I'll adviced **** like that.
