I've been hosting stuff with CloudAfrica for a few years now and I really think these guys have it waxed. Their support is super fast (Join the CloudAfrica channel on ZATech Slack) and they always seem like they're really eager to help. Even at 11pm on a Saturday night.

This company took over the ananzimail facility and started charging for its service. I paid my bi-annual subscription and it was time to renew it last month. I paid for another two years and am shocked to see that they have suspended my account. I have emailed for the reactivation of the account without any response. One cannot get hold of the company by phone as well. I feel ripped off because I paid for a service that I cannot access. Very poor communication and service!

I had an [URL Removed] email account for many years; recently it seems the service was transferred twice, finally ending up with [URL Removed] (at mail.cloudafrica.io).

The first transfer was quite seamless, and both the mail interface and existing databases were unaffected. At the second transfer (to CloudAfrica) however all my historical emails were lost (a couple of thousand). I raised this several times with two links provided: [Email Removed] and [Email Removed] (iirc). A fellow named Jameel responded, first promising to restore the emails, then claiming he had (there was no change), and finally summarily closing the enquiry as 'resolved'. Now my account has been shut down, ostensibly because it had been a free account and CloudAfrica want users to sign up for a monthly subscription.

Would I pay for a service that treats support queries in this manner, and summarily discards users' valuable emails?
