Connex Technologies poor support for Slim Book range
A friend brought his Slim Book X L1435 to me for assistance with an issue. As soon as I put it on my network Windows Update ran and thereafter there was no battery icon or sound device. Win update also updated the recovery partition. Drivers from the Connex website don't work as they refuse to load. Called Support after not getting a response to a ticket raised. Support confirmed that website files are corrupt. Only solution suggested was to return the device to them in Joburg to be reloaded with original Win version and tweak registry to stop updates :( They do have new chipset drivers but haven't put on the website and not sure when they might.

No response from connex
I was on the verge of purchasing a connex laptop but decided to read the company's reviews. What a disappointment. The bad reviews is not the reason why I have changed my mind. The company's lack of response sealed the deal. Complete and utter disregard for the plight of their customers using their product. Thanks Hellopeter. I'm using another company.
