Doesnt fix appliances - takes the cash and disappears
I should have checked Hellopeter before contacting Frank. He has since opened a new website called Repairtech / Appliance Repair Technicians in Cape Town which is harder to search for reviews. He charged more than R4k to repair my oven and stove and when he was at my house he and his colleague dropped it on the floor, smashing the front panel of the oven. He insisted on full payment before leaving the house - promising he would come back with a replacement panel. Instead he has stopped responding to my messages and still my oven remains broken. AVOID !!!

Scammers! They are on Gumtree beautiful website but don't be fooled. We contacted them to repair our oven after it came back we found out the back fan was not working but, was working perfectly fine before. We then called them numerous times they kept declining our calls we tried from a different number they answered and said they will call back ever since they are not getting back to us R1750 stolen by these people Website: www.coollinerepairs.co.za

Terrible service received from Cool Cat Appliances
I would just like everyone to know that I also contacted Frank and he promply applied by mail to come out and repair my fridge the following day.They fixed and supplied the fan motor for the Defy double door fridge/freezer. They then informed me that the PC Board of the fridge was faulty so this also had to be replaced the second time they came out because my fridge still was not working.They told me the system was blocked and had to be regassed. All of this to date has cost me R2450 and still my fridge is not working. I sent them numerous messages after they did not return to fix It and even threatened to take legal action. Still no one has come out from this company to see what the problem is .This after I have a 6 months warrantee on the work done. I am really tired of being *****ed over by companys that do not deliver on their promises. To date my fridge has cost me R4,050.00 AND STILL IS NOT WORKING PROPERLY!!!!I I belong to clientele Legal and I am going to take this matter further with there help.

Cool Cat Appliance Repairs. Do not use these people as their workmanship is bad and they overcharge and they promise a 6 month guarantee that they do not honor.
I have a Defy dual Fridge & Freezer which stopped freezing around the 22 December 2017. I contacted Cool Cat Repairs and arranged with Frank to get the fridge repaired the same day. He said if it was only a gas problem, it would cost me R550.00 to repair with a 6 month guarantee. At about 15H00 two persons arrived. After putting in gas, the fridge was still not cooling. The person then bypassed the evaporator coils. In doing so, he used excessive solder and completely blocked the particular gas pipe. He then cut out the expansion device which he subsequently believed was faulty. As they had no spares with them, they wanted to replace the expansion device with one of the Old, dirty and possibly damaged expansion devices that he had in his toolbox. I refused. After the expansion device was cut out, he realized that he in fact blocked the gas pipe with his excessive soldering. He then cut off the solder joint and re-soldered it again. He then re-soldered my (removed) expansion device and re-filled the freezer with gas. The condenser coils then started to heat up which seemed like the freezer was working and you could feel it was getting colder inside. On the invoice, I was charged for re-gassing, bypassing of evaporator coils and removal of the blockage (which he caused). I was charged R980.00 and they wanted cash. The Alarm LED is now constantly on is not freezing properly. The compressor is also running 24/7 and wasting a lot of electricity. I reported this on numerous occasions via whatsapp and also called Frank (and his colleague who sometimes answered his phone in January). Since he stopped answering my calls, I could only get hold of him by hiding my number. Frank later promised me a refund which is also not happening. To summarize, I had a very bad experience and will never use Cool Cat again. The quality of work is also really bad.
