Visited Cracker Zac's in Menlyn for the first time for a date after re******dation from a friend. Loved the experience and will definitly visit again, much better than "The fun company" Bowling is charged per lane not per person with I think is how it should be - please don't ever change that! But the other games were slightly disapointing - Hot wheels didnt work; lost money for that. Music in the bar was so loud; I can't even hear the music from the dancing machine for a dance - but other wise not a bad place to visit.

From the get go as we entered the premises, the experience was terrible. We entered the Cracker Zac’s Menlyn Branch on Friday 05/12/25 around 20:00 , we stood around at the entrance waiting for someone to help us get new cards,as this was our first time. The lady that was supposed to help with this , was busy with some type of dispute with either an employee or customer , not sure. The bouncer at the door asked her to help us , she paid us no attention and rushed passed us stating its her lunch with a “I can’t be bothered” tone of voice. Finally we were helped with getting cards. After getting the cards and getting access to your premises, none of the staff acknowledged us , we stood around waititng for a waiter to either help us or show us to a table , after about 10 minutes I approached a waiter( can’t remember her name) and asked if she could help us find a spot, that was most probably the last time she was helpful , she took our order and was able to get it sorted. We had other guests join us at our table and had to go and look for our waiter so we could order drinks after waiting for a while at our table without service , she was no were to be seen and we had to go to the bar for assistance. The team behind the bar was not very helpful either , seems to be a trend with the staff. The majority of the staff were unhelpful or either not keen to help , it was very visible in the way they treated us. After waiting ages once again for assistance from behind the bar we got our drinks. When we ordered food the waiter who took our order confirmed our order twice before leaving , when our food arrived my food was not delivered , when I enquired it was stated that my order was not added even after the waiter confirmed it twice. Shocking to say the least. The whole experience was an absolute let down , I will not be returning to this half run fly by night establishment and also advise others not to do so.

I had an issue getting into Cracker Zac's last Friday because of their dress code. I was apparently fine, except for my Crocs. They had a sign that read "No sandals (Men)" and as far as I understand, Crocs are not sandals as my toes were covered. If they do not allow Crocs, they should explicitly specify that. Furthermore, the dress code said smart casual, but there were people in crop tops and tights. I don't appreciate how the dress code is bent for some and not for others. Be specific about what's allowed and what's not.
