On 24 June I made a booking for mani and pedi at CLHS for 18 July, upon booking I was advised that there’s a special running, pay for one treatment and get one free.
The policy of the establishment is to pay 50% deposit and balance on the day of the treatment. In my case it meant I should have paid R175 and balance of R175 on the day of the treatment. However as I usually do I paid the full amount of R350.
Unfortunately on 17 July, I had an emergency and I was not not going to make it on the 18th, I reached out to CLHS to request another day but Deani Roesch unapologetically rejected my request, without any hesitation, citing that it is late already.
I have a few concerns regarding this matter:
First, why am I not getting my R175 back, is Deani Roesch even ware that I made full payment not just 50% deposit.
Second, we all know that life happens, this condition about forfeiting the deposit is an absolute ****. The least should be that if the customer is not be able to make it, they should book another appointment, but this approach about forfeiting the money is absolute *******.
Third, Deani Roesch is content with the fact that she just brushed me away like that. I believe that as a customer, of a very long time, I didn’t deserve to be tossed off like that. I am quite happy not to get a refund but an alternative date would have been appreciated. The way she treated the me was very cold.
My first reaction was I’ll shop around for alternative spa, but CLHS ticks all the boxes, and for me to find a replacement is becoming a bit of an losing battle.
