Disgusting Experience at Waterfront Branch – ****roach in My Hot Chocolate!
I visited the Waterfront branch on 9 October 2024 and ordered a hot chocolate and a cookie. This place is my usual go-to between breaks. However, I was absolutely horrified to find a ****roach in my hot chocolate after already drinking half of it! This is beyond unacceptable for any food and beverage establishment. The hygiene standards here are clearly appalling, and this should never happen. I am incredibly disappointed at this disgusting experience. I strongly advise against visiting this branch if you care about cleanliness and food safety.

Well, its better than supermarket cookies.
Their products are decent at the worst and delectable (for prepackaged goods) at the best, but their prices are not very well justified. They are very expensive, especially their smaller goods like their miniature ice cream sandwiches. I will buy their cookies, but wow! The extra cost for a tad bit more ice cream is insane on delivery apps.

An Overall Decent Cookie!
A darling little dessert shop, that brightens up your mood upon entering. The ice-cream is delicious and has suitable flavours for all. The operating hours is fantastic - open until 12am. The shop can become crowded, which is yay for business and nay for the consumer 😄. The prices range is moderate. I wish that the cookies were a bit softer, but I ordered mine in the evening, so I was not expecting them to be totally freshly made.

Cute and clean ice cream shop
Yummy ice cream served in a creative way, friendly staff and good customer service. The ice cream is a bit pricey but it's of good quality. They've got an awesome selection of treats to add on, from toppings to syrups, cookies, cones or ice cream taco shells.

Black people avoid Crumbs + Cream racism
Disgusting reception from the sales lady last night at 19h30. She was lukewarm in her service, gave us almost melting product. In contrast, she was overtly friendly to the white patrons who came in after us (who actually mocked her accent!). She immediately rattled off so many flavors (which she didn't give us the option to choose from). I will NEVER patronize this establishment or this franchise ever. I could have spent my R300 far better elsewhere. In addition, I will carry their serving cup with me and engage anybody who wants to know of the racist, demeaning attitude of the server there. Black people should never be dehumanized like me and my family were. This reflects poorly on the brand and on SA society
