Pathetic manager
Anna the manager. So called manager with no customer skill. No proper ethics. Had the displeasure of running into her at Cafe cuba cornubia. Worst decision they made in a manager. Waiters and waitresses know us well. Treat us with respect but Anna doesn't know what respect is. Sam, Vinod and team well done. But please Anna needs to go. Kills the vibe. Pathetic manager
Anna the manager. So called manager with no customer skill. No proper ethics. Had the displeasure of running into her at Cafe cuba cornubia. Worst decision they made in a manager. Waiters and waitresses know us well. Treat us with respect but Anna doesn't know what respect is. Sam, Vinod and team well done. But please Anna needs to go. Kills the vibe. Cuba lounge gateway Worst experience
Was there for the new years eve event. Event was lovely but the bouncers were rude and disrespectful which marred the whole event . Very arrogant. First time I took people from out of SA there and the issues that occurred involving the bouncers were ridiculous. My husband went out for some air and was not allowed back in as it was 2am. We knew the place was open until a later time tho . Then the bouncers started fighting with the people whose event it was and it was witnessed by many. None the less I left at half 2 and the bouncer grabbed my hand and passed it to the other guy to cut the tag. My daughter and our out of town visitors stayed back for a while. Then their incident was something else. Imagine just reaching home and getting a call from ur kids saying they were mistreated. While wanting to exit the place they stopped to go to the toilet. The 2 guys with them went to the toilet and my daughter and her friend were waiting for them. The bouncers asked them to leave and she said she will but 2 females are not going to exit the place and stand on the road waiting for the guys to come out. She asked them to wait. They were rude and demanded she leave. She told them they not allowed to treat people as such and as an attorney she was going to call Saps for their threatening behaviour towards them. The bouncers then grabbed her and her friend and pushed them out and asked them to leave. Cuba lounge owners please note not all people who come to ur establishment are there to fight. The lady Kim who was at the door for most of the night asked them to not treat people that way and they proceeded to push her as well during that time. It was chaos in the place from 2am. Many people were locked out while their partners were inside and also had issues with the bouncers. One guy actually came from the outside cos his wife was inside and asked for the manager and told her what they were doing was so wrong. I advise people not to go to that place again especially if u taking young adults there. The bouncers have no respect for people. They think everyone who visits that place is uncouth. Some of us professionals also visit once in a while. We were not even from that aera.. These young adults were not even drinking as they came to enjoy a new years eve countdown and we arrived only at midnight but the arrogance and violence was something else. These people live in the USA and was disgusted at this type of reception. Many people were expressing their displeasure of This. Cuba lounge gateway should shut down if they treat people so callously. Disgusted. Will def be posting this reception and treatment we received on other groups to make them aware. No decent person should go to this indecent place. Thumbs down to this establishment. Spoilt our entries new year. Kids came home with hurt arms for being mishandled and then we see now only so many bad reviews about the behaviour of staff at the establishment which if seen before we would not have went. We wanted to support this event as well as be there for this countdown. And we only reached there at 12am. Will def make others aware of this place.

Cubana Richards bay
I visited the Cubana Richards Bay after a very long time on Election Day, and after a long day I had , I needed a place I can relax and find peace. The waitress who first attended me was really unpleasant (Lungi) and didn’t attend to me until the manager on duty (sakhile) came and asked if there was anything I needed. He was pleasant and kind, he even made my order himself (went the extra mile so to speak). If it wasn’t for the horrible welcoming from the first waitress and not having Wi-Fi and repeating of music. I would have proudly said that Cubana Richards Bay is undoubtedly the best and most beautiful Cubana I’ve been to (and I’ve been to many Cubanas throughout the country) but they really did not meet the right standards

I visited the Cubana Richards Bay after a very long time on Election Day, and after a long day I had , I needed a place I can relax and find peace. I would have proudly said that Cubana Richards Bay is undoubtedly the best and most beautiful Cubana I’ve been to (and I’ve been to many Cubanas throughout the country) but they really did not meet the right standards
