Mr and Mrs Billy started off their work great until it came to the final stages. Their work went from good to be highly questionable. They portrayed themselves as good, honest business people. We started to review their work and advise them accordingly to fix their mistakes. The mirrors on 2 of the 3 sliding doors were chipped… they didn’t bother. The mirror in the cupboard was chipped. None of the mirrors on the sliding doors were even bevelled. The handle on a sliding door came out. The one sliding door was damaged whilst they tried to fix it. The quartz was practically floating with pieces of wood, hinge parts at irregular intervals.

After months of attempts to recover from the financial loss caused by Cupboard Trendz when they scammed me of my hard-earned money, I have finally gathered the strength to write this review to warn unsuspecting people who intend using them for cupboard and wardrobe installation services. In January 2021, I had just lost my employment and had to move into my newly-bought apartment. Part of the renovations was kitchen cupboard installation and a small two-door wardrobe. I had R28 000 on my savings and I shopped around for a company that could install these for an amount below R28 000. I eventually got hold of Heerasha who came to my place to take measurements. After paying the first installment, her team came to install some of the cupboards. When they had to install the stove and sink, I asked them to stop a bit as I had a few gigs that would pay me enough to buy these items. Thinking of how small businesses had struggled during Covid-19 and also from their pressure, I paid the balance then, not wanting to mess up their financials. I genuinely did not suspect anything amiss. So now they had their R28 000. After two/three weeks I bought the items and told Heerasha they may then come to complete the job. That was in March 2021 I stayed for about two weeks saying to myself it is only fair that I do not rush them to come complete the job because they probably have other projects they have started already and to first comolete them before returning to mine. It was me being considerate and thinking Heerasha and her husband are principled business people. After the two weeks, I got into a three-month everyday begging that they come complete the work. I phoned, texted, WhatsApped, and emailed. At first Heerasha would reply and make empty promises. Eventually she told me where to get off and said I needed to speak to her husband Avinash. The man was clear from the word-go that he does not care about my project. On our first call when I gave him an account of how unhappy I was, he let me speak and when I was done he asked: "Are you finished?". I said: "Yes" and he hung up. After that whenever I texted on WhatsApp he would say: "I am coming tomorrow"; "The weather is bad"; "We are moving factory so we are curently busy"; "My staff is mostly absent on Monday".....a series of lies I later found out he also tells and had told to other people whom they have scammed. After a month of no communication, Avinash phoned me and said his guys were going to come assess what is left to be done. Two men camethe next day and they said Avinash had instructed them to take from my place my stove, my sink (both which I had bought outside of the R28k) and the counter tops so they may do the cutting in their factory. Having seen how unethical Avinash and his wife Heerasha are, I refused. I phoned Avinash and told him they may come cut at my place as they did the first time. I am glad I did that because clearly they were going to run away, not only with my hard-earned money but also my kitchen items and the countertops they had already left at my place. One day I Googled "Cupboard Trendz" and a can of worms burst open. I realised I was not the first or the only one they had stolen from. Scores of people in different platforms were warning everyone of these scammers. Sadly on the company's Facebook page when you make a comment exposing their criminality, they quickly remove the comments and block you as they have done to me. I eventually had to accept that Avinash and Heerasha had scammed me, they were unapologetic, and had to accept and move on. I urge everyone out there not to dare come near anything that has "Cupboard Trendz", "Heerasha", and "Avinash". I also challenge Avinash and Herasha to take legal actions against me if they plead innocence in all that I have written here. I know there are attempts from many people who have been scammed to expose these people, I am more than willing to be a part of that, and I will share my story.

We hired this company to install built-in wardrobes in our flat in Pietermaritzburg back in 2018. Upon fitting the wardrobes, they discovered that they forgot one wardrobe door in one of the bedrooms. They promised to come back the following week and I held R500 from the total of R13 000 which they charged. I have called them over and over and they have promised over and over to finish the job. I have finally decided that I will hire another company to finish their job.

On 11 August 2020 I saw a Facebook post by Cupboard Trendz showing off their work, I contacted the rep and numerous discussions took place thereafter. After studying the 3d computer generated designs of my kitchen Bic, I made an Eft payment of 60%(R210 000) of the total amount for the work to commence. The work commenced on the 29 October 2020. The team worked well for about two weeks. After I made the third payment of R150 000, my nightmare began. Work on my kitchen slowed down. Numerous excuses were given, rainy weather, carpenter met with an accident, waiting for materials, no driver, staffing problems, staff robbing them, staff picking up their medications. In December, the work came to a standstill. Calls were made to Cupboard Trendz, my calls were ignored. Messages to them via WhatsApp yielded no results. Now five months later, my kitchen is still in a bad state, the way cupboards Trendz left it. I am still waiting for the six quartz basins, quartz counter tops, kitchen blinds, dining room blinds, glass splash backs, bulkheads lighting, drawer handles, soft touch mechanisms, veg racks, bin accessories, all paid for. Cupboard Trendz have swindled me out of my hard earned money. Truly sad indeed, I trusted them and they are enjoying my money which I paid but work is not completed. This is intended to warn and save other people the same stress, agony and financial loss I experienced. I believe there are many others that have fallen prey - it only proves how shady this company is. Should anyone wish to see pictures and whatsapp messages - feel free to contact me on 083 959 1871 or basilnaidoo16@gmail.com. I will be happy to assist.

In January 2019 my spouse engaged the services of Cupboard Trendz to fit our kitchen. We had some challenges that we resolved as the work progressed. We opted for glass instead of tiles. This cost R10 000.00. After about three months we noticed 'water marks' on four different segments of the glass. We we told that the glue that was used was of an inferior quality and that the glass would be replaced. Measurements were taken on a few occasions but no action was taken. Being frustrated my spouse approached the Supplier who stated that he would offer R2000.00 initially. After bargaining and frustration my spouse settled for R4000. 00 - to be paid in two installments during this month. Upon contacting him again my spouse was told that she is asking for too much. Having waited for over 2years my spouse decide to call it a day and rest the case.

Worst company we have ever used, a horrific experience of lies, products that are worse quality than promised/agreed/paid for, badly installed cupboards, cheap finished, and the rudest owners who will just ignore calls and emails. Please stay clear these guys are scam artists, they have been in industry so long as company was inherited, these kids who run it now are running it into the ground. My first review on here and it’s a warning to anyone else who will get scammed like we have!
