Excellent food and excellent staff. My husband had a fattouch salad in Dubai that didn’t taste the same as it did at Damascus. The very friendly chef came out and explained how the sauce differs from country to country. After the explanation he made my husband the same salad as it would have been made in Dubai, which was exactly as he remembered it. He also said that whenever he wanted the fattouch salad he should ask for him personally and he would make it to my husbands specifications.

The staff is always friendly and eager to assist. I ordered Haleem out of season once and the chef made me a fresh pot! And now they serve haleem all year round 😍 The food is delicious, portion size is favorable and my delight is when the chef comes to check up on your table to introduce himself and thank you for dining by them and answer any questions you may have. Such great hospitality - keep up the good work guys!!

I've been to Damascus on 2 occasions and haven't been disappointed. In general I love Turkish food even though it can be a bit bland. The Syrian chef at Damascus explained that this is the way it is in Turkey and Syria. However the food at Damascus was very tasty. Everything we ordered was done to perfection including their saucy prawns. The atmosphere was really lovely. The staff was attentive. The chef came to check up regularly and recommended the Syrian tea before we leave. That herbal tea did wonders to help with digestion and an overall relaxing feeling. I will definitely recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back again 😊

When you google Damascus restaurant it will show you that they open at 9am on a Sunday. I got there at 9:05am and the restaurant was closed. One of their employees was also waiting outside and I asked what time the restaurant will open and she said 10am. I then proceed to take a walk on the promenade and returned back to the establishment at 10:00 am and it was still closed. I left and came back again at 10:45 and another lady that works at the establishment said that they only opening at 12 (noon). This is beyond ridiculous. No one knows what time the establishment actually opens.
