This year they are horrible, they have resorted to not answering their phone, they have a online chat but it is horrible. Usually they clearly marked books that are outstanding on the first delivery and this time no such thing, i've had to find out the missing books as my daughter picks it, i had 2 missing books and 1 was delivered. Would recommend schools to give us more options

I have been trying to get a hold of DC books for the last few weeks with no success. I’ve sent emails, tried the landline number on their website, which goes to an automated recording stating no one is available and one cannot leave a message either, spoke to online agents, all of this with no help. I’ve placed two orders on the 8th of January and one of the orders was a “pre-order” hence the placing of two orders on the same day. Delivery time for these were both stipulated at 7-14 business days. 20 Days in, I received only one package, the pre-order. I’ve tried contacting DC books again and was left on read by the online agent, which is not the first time. It’s happened before. I’m fed up and quite frankly very disappointed in the lack of service from DC books online store. There is NO communication whatsoever from their side on ETA or just basic customer service. Just wondering if I’ll actually receive my second order.

Truly the worst company I’ve ever ordered from. Communication is terrible and completely unprofessional. My order has been marked “ready to ship” for weeks, yet nothing has been delivered and no clear updates are given. I ordered in December. It is now 3 February, and my child has no books and is falling behind at school because of this delay. What makes this worse is that schools recommend this company, yet when books don’t arrive, parents are blamed for “ordering late” — which is absolutely not true in my case. Parents, please avoid ordering online from DC Books. If you must use them, buy physically in-store. This experience has caused unnecessary stress for families and learners. Never ordering from them again.

I am very disappointed with how long textbooks I ordered took to deliver. Further to that - communicating with DC Books for updates was a tedious process, with no updates. It cant take 3weeks in the year 2026 to receive an online purchase.

Order is over a month already and received an email saying ready to be shipped what does that mean and when using the online chat no response or email from them, thie year DC books is doing poorly. Order #DC31949

I place an order for my kids' books on Dec 23 2025. A total of 25 items were placed. A total of 21 books including stationery was sent on Jan 16th. I noticed that they acknowledged two books as still outstanding from their side yet they were 3 still outstanding plus stationery pack on that delivery. I have written 5 emails since Jan 16th without any response. Their live chat keeps assuring me that they will respond. Their phone line is not been attended to either. Today, I realised that my account status shows all books as delivered. I have never been more frustrated by a supplier before than this one, the worst of all is that they were recommended by the school. It is almost Feb and my son is without three critical books of his grade 10 journey, yet their lead time is 7-14 working days. DC31974.

I can only echo the negative feedback from the other reviews. Poor communication on the status of the order I've placed even after several emails. No one bothers to respond. I would not recommend them. Unfortunately, they were selected by the school as the supplier so will most certainly make the school aware of the situation and the negative reviews.

DC Books offers the worst service one can imagine with absolute terrible communication. Their landline does not work. They don't respond or take note of anything sent via emails.Their live chat is absolutely ******* and not helpful at all.Ordered books early December 25, still waiting on the 25th Jan 26. ******* service
