1 star is too good of a rating for these folks. I need a replacement part which is not available in Cape Town. Made contact with them and never received a call back. This is not the first time I've had to contact them multiple times for feedback. No response via their web contact form and no response via WhatsApp either.

I have a Defy DHG604 gas hob. From when I got it, the wok pot stand (large front left burner) was warped and would rock when putting a pot on it. I tried to straighten it slightly and it broke. I went to the Defy Service Centre in Bellville and they are unable to get a replacement pot stand. I find this shocking in terms of support from Defy. It is ridiculous that they cannot get spares for one of their appliances that is actively on the market. It is still being sold in stores around the country.

I purchased a Defy 5 plate gas hob , which is still under warranty, I used it for 6 months started experiencing problems, 1 plate would not ignite, made a request for it to be repaired, technician came in 4 times ....he just could not repair it .....its been a month now....on the technician's last visit he said he will call in a higher level technician .....the next day I receive a telephone stating that I need an electrical to repair the hob.... I'm made to feel that I'm the only customer that has an issue with the stove ....but reading other reviews above I can see there are many other frustrated customers experiencing the same thing that I am experiencing......repair turn around times are disappointing ....there is 6 months left for the warranty to expire and at the rate at which services are carried out ....I feel time is been wasted unnecessarily. I need urgent assistance from Defy ...

I have had the most DISGUSTING experience with Defy!! After many years of buying and using defy products, I decided to stay loyal and buy another washing machine with them, only to discover that they have gone down the drain!! The machine arrived at my house and has not functioned once. The Defy service guy said 'no, this error code is not right, you need a new one' It has been 10 days that I have been waiting for the promised phone call to arrange swopping the machine... they keep promising they will call back to arrange something and never do, I phone them back and they make more empty promises! I have spent so much money and I am having no help in return. They are now ignoring my calls.. this is revolting service and I am on the verge on changing brands.

I bought a Defy washing machine so within 7 months of the purchase my washing machine couldn't spin dry only to find out the dryer was broken then I called the service centre they asked the relevant questions the I answered them Within a day of a phone call they sent the the guy to come and repair my machine in my house. Then everything went well it was fixed and I'm a happy customer Defy appliances are the best

I am extremely disappointed with the service I received from this Defy branch. I reported that my stove and oven were not working and was told a technician would be sent. I was also advised to buy stove plates, which I did (two plates). After that, communication was terrible. My calls were ignored, my WhatsApp messages went unanswered, and I had to keep chasing them. When the technician finally arrived, he said he was only sent for stove plates, not the oven — which was not what we agreed on. I was then told the repair would cost double the original amount. To make matters worse, one staff member insisted he sold me four plates, which is false — he sold me two. This entire experience was confusing, stressful, and unprofessional. I felt dismissed and misled. I expected better from a brand like Defy.
