They steal your money
I’d like to share my story A while back I brought a car through Derby Cars PTY LTD on a rent to own agreement ,they were very quick to take my current car and my money. From the first week of receiving the vehicle The car broke down. I took it back to them, yes, they fixed it but only to be back at the dealership every month for over a year with problems ... from dashboard errors saying engine fault. ( I have all the photos and evidence and written correspondence)To gearbox fault to the car not even driving without cutting out and the automatic gearbox not changing gears, they took the car each time (7 times) and had the car for almost two and half months one time only for me to have the same errors time and time again and the car been returned to still broken when they assured me it was fixed. I was even told by one employee if I don’t want dashboard errors I must not let the petrol gage go below quarter tank. ???? Eventually, I had enough and I went to the dealership and gave them back the car and requested a cancellation and refund of my money. The agreement is on a lease bases rent to own and they took my old car and 20k deposit and 10k deposit for insurance excess. I have asked them to refund me on my deposit and insurance money but they are ignoring me not replying to my emails or texts and it’s been over two months. I cannot believe people conduct business like this and to rip off a single mom of two young girls which now doesn’t have a vehicle due to them not refunding my money so I can’t get another one. I have been messed around by these people time and time again all of the vehicles they have at the dealership are old and broken, how can anyone sell these to the public??? They are scammers and I cannot believe they conduct business like this Ripping off innocent woman/ people and basically stealing my money which is rightfully mine after they sold me a broken vehicle. Do not do business with them or buy one of their cars they will rip you off and steal your money

Delta Leasing or Derby Cars car rental fraud
South Africans beware of this scam company called Delta Leasing. They prey on individuals who are looking to rent a car and extort money from them by hiring damaged vehicles. Beware and stay away from them.

Don't do business with Delta Leasing or Derby Cars
Never get into business with this company called "Derby Cars". They now go by the name "Delta Leasing" This Delta Leasing comapny aka Derby cars are involved in a massive car scam where they scam their victims by hiring damaged vehicles and requesting deposits. My lawyers and investigators are investigating them and they have been known to do the same thing to numerous people. Lyndon Whittaker is the main person behind this scam.

Never get into business with this company called "Derby Cars". They now go by the name "Delta Leasing" This Delta Leasing comapny aka Derby cars are involved in a massive car scam where they scam their victims by hiring damaged vehicles and requesting deposits. My lawyers and investigators are investigating them and they have been known to do the same thing to numerous people. Lyndon Whittaker is the main person behind this scam.

Never buy a car from Derby Cars
<p>Derby cars sell faulty cars with no book value, even if you have to trade it in you won't get anything from it. I bought a Chinese taxi from them, Golden Journey Makoya after the sales rep JP sold lies to me, that it had a powerful motor more than a toyota quantum and is perfect for long distance. Meanwhile the taxi had a problem with a gearbox, gear linkages, hand brake and general cosmetic falling apart. I sent the vehicle to them more than 10 times, Lyndon promised to sell the taxi for me or get me a Nissan interstar while I couldn't honour my contracts properly and I was losing business on the side. Lyndon keeps promising clients and he never delivers on his promises. They source cheap and faulty cars which they hope would be able to fix but are so bad in fixing. I had to refuse then payments and fixed the taxi myself. My mechanic did a great job than their after sale services. Never buy cars from them. </p>

Worse service EVER after spending R120 000.00!!!! What aftersales service????
<p>I made the mistake of thinking that a because you know a 2nd hand car sales person, you would get a better deal & at least aftersales service for the faulty car you bought! Derby Cars has no intergrity!! I've emailed the MD, Lyndon 7 times in connection with faults on the Polo they sold me & still all I get is the run-a-round. Its always month end or something else. Even when my car has been back to them on 5 different breakdowns, the "minor issues" that I insist they fix (THE FAULTY SEATBELTS) etc are just ignored. Ive heard every promise in the book & now I have had enough. As soon as they received their money, the sales rep JP refused our calls. Ive had NOTHING but problems from the 1st day when their machanic tried to convince my husband that oil in the water was "normal" & that it would go away by itself. Turned out to be a crack in the block. When we tried to cancel we were told there will be a hefty penalty or we can have the car fixed & get a 6 month warranty. Now i see why! So i can beg & plead for months without anybng at my car!!Every mail is the same, we will make a plan soon. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!</p>
