Stay away from this Rental Agent. There a reason its called DIC Homes, because they turn into real Dic's once your no longer renting from them, you will lose your deposit and they still hand you over for so called repairs. I moved into a property at Brooklands lifestyle estate 3 in Centurion, upon viewing the place there was multiple nails and *****s still in the house and even a TV bracket from the previous tenant, i also asked about electricity avarage cost for the unit and was told because we only 2 people we looking at R1000 to R1500pm and that seemed to be in line with the R900 to R1200 we spend at current place. After moving the first 3 months the electricity worked out about R400 per week so it was already more that expected, then on the 4th month we suddenly jumped to R650 per week =R2600 pm then i complained about it to the supplier of electricity Meter Shack, then it went down to R450 per week for couple weeks then sudden jump again to R1000 per week. This is when i asked DIC homes to step in and assist as they are the Agent for the property, an electrician came and installed his own metering equipment to see the load on the unit, and was told ill get report, Never got a report. Then it was time to renew my lease and i refused to sign a new lease due to the electricity charges and gave them 2 months notice as per their lease agreement. Almost a month after notice was given Johan phoned me one day and asked if we might be able to move sooner as he has someone interested to take the place, we then found another place and after i paid my deposit and phoning Johan to say we will be out at the end of that month got told that i now cant leave sooner, then told them they then may keep my deposit as im not gonna pay another months rent and R4000+ for electricity and was told thats fine. Only to get an invoice saying i still need to pay for repairs for nails and things i did not even put in the wall for R2800. I refused to pay this as prior to moving in these nails and things was already on the walls. Now they handed me over to some lawyer for this, yet when i stayed there i was told im one of the few good tenants they have. So dont trust these guys, THEY ARE MONEY WOLFS

I was renting a unit from Dic Homes. I moved out of unit on 30 Nov 2015 and a move inspection was done on the same day. Since the 3rd of Dec until now, 15 Jan it has been an upward battle to finalize the inspection process in order to get my deposit back. Meanwhile Dic Homes continues to earn interest on my money while I am not longer their client. I keep on having to repeat myself or have to resend documents I have already sent. I don't get feedback until I follow up to ask about progress. I am told I am accountable for things that were in the unit when I moved in. I have been disputing and sending proof to no avail. I am told that I am accountable for the repainting of walls that were not painted when I moved in. It has been an absolute nightmare up until now and the least bit of consideration has come my way after having been a client for 3 years.
I have requested a meeting with the inspector, a representative from Dic Homes and the owner of the unit as a last resort to resolve this matter because written correspondence is not yielding any results. I have not gotten feedback yet.

Innocent tenants trust DIC Rentals to put them in a legit rental contract @ a decent price.
Instead DIC Rentals put their clients in ANY EMPTY property without verifying who the ACTUAL LEGAL owner is.
They do NO research in the Deeds Office, City of Tshwane or Bank where Bond is registered.
When legal owner provide them with evidence about the e-legal contract they entered in, they prefer to look the other way & forward the problem to their Lawyers. They signed a contract with INNOCENT Tenant for a rental amount which INCLUDE W&L while the City of Tshwane bill is almost R50000 in arrears !!! (Proof in their possession.) STILL THEY WISH TO CALL FOR LEGAL ADVICE INSTEAD OF ADMITTING THEIR MISTAKE & relocate the tenant to a legal place with a legal contract. Dicky of DIC Homes also do not come to the party.
Investigate Integrity of Agents before making use of them.
